I am just wanting to know what are some good bullet, powder combos to load up for a 300 WSM using 165grn bullets to take down an elk i already have some 165 grn Barnes TTSX, Nosler AB, and Hornady IB bullets along with RL15, RL17, RL19, and IMR4350 powders as well, does anyone have a good combo...
yeah i told him that even 165 grn bullets would be a lot better, and that the kick between them would not be that noticeable if he put a limb-saver butt bad on his Tikka T3, would any of those bullets in 165 grn be a better choice or does he need to go with 180 grn?
I am just wanting some opinions on weather or not using a 150 grn bullet out of a 300 WSM in either the E-tip, TTSX, or GMX would be enough to take down a spike elk, my friend just got one and wants me to load some of those rounds up for him, i am thinking that since he has chosen 3 all copper...
I own a Meopta Meostar R1 3-10x50, and have in mounted on my Browning X-bolt 7mm WSM, using Talley one piece light weight mounts, it is a great scope and performs excellent, with no trouble holding zero, the turrets are good with positive clicks, and as for the clarity it is top notch, i only...
I have an old Remington model 721 that my grandfather left for me, he had the stock shortened, so i need to put a new stock on it, and i am not quite sure where i would get one for that rifle, and i was thinking about doing a few other things, like getting the barrel re-blued in a matte finish...
I just got one of these, and since i have never used one before, would it be a good idea for me to tighten the set screw before i push the whole thing into the chamber so i can make sure that it is all the way in before i try to push the bullet out towards the lands? and as far as knowing when...
I am thinking of getting a new seating die for my 7mm WSM, the 2 that i am looking at are the Forster Ultra 2-die set with seater and full length sizing die for $95.00 or the Redding Competition seater die only for $119.00, which way would be the better way to go to get more consistent loads...
I was looking on there web site and saw the mounting diagram, it has four holes just like my T-7, the only problem is the way i built my bench(used 2x4 basics kit) there is a 2x4 that runs right along the outer edge of the table top all the way around it, so on my T-7 it is only mounted with the...
I am wanting to get one of these since it gets such great reviews, but i am also wanting to know if you have to use Forster dies with it or will Redding dies that i already have for both my 7mm WSM and 7mm 08 work with this press?
i am wanting to know if anyone has loaded the 150 grn ttsx bullets for 30-06, and if so are there any of the rings showing above the case mouth, i am just wanting to know if that is normal or not or if it does not really matter. Thanks
i am using the ttsx, so i have been just using the load data for the tsx, that says 2.750", and my magazine can easily handle 2.860" which is the sami max for the 7mm WSM, so are you saying just load them at around 2.860 and go for it, or should i try something like right in the middle of what...
I know this is a nosler forum, but i have all the books, in the barnes book #4, i am just wanting to know if anyone can tell me if the C.O.A.L. that is suggested for each different load and bullet is what they recommend for each of those bullets once the round is loaded, of if it is the minimum...
i have a Redding T7 press, and it has its own form of automatic priming tool, i am not really fond of it, my question is what kind of priming tool is best to use, is it one of the hand held ones or a bench mounted one, i have read that a-lot of people like the hand held ones, because they say...
I am wanting to know if the RL17 powder would be a good choice to try with 120 grn bullets for my 7mm 08, i have a few pounds of it along with a pound of RL15 and 4 pounds of IMR4350, of those which would be the best way to go, i am going to try 2 different bullets, 120grn Barnes TTSX, and...
Yeah that is where i got it at, they let me do the same thing, and i came up with the same conclusion that you did, that is why i got the Zeiss 3-9x40, i felt that everything seemed brighter and also seemed to stand out more when looking through it then any of the Leupold's, Nikon's, or...
Ok i have decided to get a Zeiss Conquest 3-9x40 for my Browning X-bolt 7mm08, and i saw that browning has some rings just for the X-bolt, and they are made by Talley, are those good rings, and if so what height should i get for my scope, i was thinking either med or low.
I have a 7mm WSM and nosler does not make brass for it, i am wondering if i was to get some 300 WSM brass would i be able to resize it for my 7mm WSM, or is that not something i should try to do, any help would be appreciated. Thanks
You are correct about the Meopta scopes being a bit heavy, i was able to mount mine that is a 30mm tube with 50mm obj using talley med rings, and the cheek weld is nice, but you are right in saying that a 3-9x40 zeiss would work for me, i am leaning that way, i have looked through one of the...
