Everything in this picture was taken with a 308 except the goat, it was taken with a 26 Nosler and was the only performance I wasn’t happy with, needless to say I don’t own the 26 any more.
When I took this bear, I was looking down at an 8’ griz, if she wouldn’t have had 2 cubs I would have...
2500 FPS, I heard on the interweb those would bounce right off the hide........
I went through the loundenboomer phase, then just decided I like shooting and enjoying it. I have big ones but I sure don’t enjoy them much. I just Sam an old VSSF 308 come up for sale, if I can just convince him...
Ron Spomer only posts articles that cause controversy to get page hits. He posts on some pages I visit all the time. What’s the best X, why this one is terrible 7-08 is better than 6.5CM, etc Its almost click bait for hunters. I left a comment saying so and it was removed haha.

I’m not currently in the market for one it’s yours if you win! I have a brand new 30-06 carbine I bought cheap for my boy when he gets older. I grew up with the 7600, love those rifles but just don’t use them here in AK out of laziness in caring for the bluing in the mountains.

I’ve heard of one that did it, I think they used JES rifles. I thing they also had him bore a 308 to a 358 if I remember right or might have been a 3006 into a whelen

We went king salmon “hunting” this morning, my boy got to reel in his first king, what a riot! He hit the river current and I thought he was gone, but we got lucky!

Absolutely brutal man, sorry to hear that. One of the hardest things a person can go through. The blessings of a good dog are immeasurable.
Sorry for your loss,

I always used tipped bullets (mostly accubonds) until I went hunting with my cousin and his boy was using a partition in 243. His boy shot a buck quartering to him, entered left shoulder passed through the shoulder, boiler room, all the way to the hind quarter, stopped at the skin in the round...
I picked up a 90’s model 700 in a B&C light varmint for $525! I took it apart, stiff stock weighed 27oz, I was pretty impressed with it for the price they ask ($270).
I took it to the range, bore sighted it by removing the bolt, looking through the barrel, moving scope to that point at 50...
Well I just bought a 260 “for my wife”. Great deal, nice stock, shoots 140 gr partitions perfect. After sighting it in I told her she was gonna need to go shopping for her own gun, that ones mine haha!
