I'm not usually one to get wrapped up in an internet article, but this one really rubbed me the wrong way, mostly because it is from an NRA publication and I expect more from them. Poorly written with false facts just to stir the pot.
I'd like to know which ballistics table this writer was...
I prefer the Winchester over the Hornady, but the QC on Winchester and Remington brass has been lacking on the last few batches that I have gotten recently.
Daisy 499b, the most accurate BB gun made. Only 250fps, but is a smooth bore muzzle loading BB gun that is used for 5 meter matches.

I can't say why, but moose is the single species that I would like to hunt most. None around in my neck of the woods, needless to say, but elk are making a slow comeback. My dad and I have talked about elk hunting since I was about 7, so we are finally getting a chance to do that together next...
I have offered to load WITH someone else, but not for anyone else but me and my kids... Funny, but no one has taken me up on it yet :P
I don't want the liability
Looks like the smith didn't finish reaming/polishing it out, but the pic is blurry . I'd say that the cases would be fine for reloading for THAT rifle 1-2 times, but I wouldn't load them too warm until I tried a few.
This is only me, and what I can seem to see in the pic. YMMV
Some people don't like Savage rifles, but my 116 30-06 is just silly accurate. Very few of my test loads shot over 1.25", but this is the hunting load that I settled on a few years back, and I've never had a deer take another step after being shot with it. This usually isn't the most accurate...
My 10 year old daughter will be deer hunting with me. 30-06 with 125 NABs at between 3000-3100. She used a 270 in a youth stock shooting Sierra 110s last season to take her first 2 deer (both does), so hopefully she will get a buck this season
My, how I miss my 45/70. Some day I will own another big bore lever gun. I liked shooting cast bullets out of mine, but it was always very accurate from mild to wild with just about any bullet that you fed it.
My Savage 116 in 30-06 with B&C stock is just about as perfect and accurate of a rifle for me as I can think of, and is easily my "go-to" rifle. I'm really loving the handling characteristics of my Tikka 338WM, so it may get the nod more often in the future... You just never know when you may...
I just finished putting in for my and my daughters' TN deer and elk quota hunts. My older daughter and I should get drawn for 1 WMA rifle hunt, she may get drawn for a youth WMA rifle hunt, the elk hunt is very long odds for either of us, and my younger daughter is not quite ready so she will be...
