[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] to be fair I’m not big on recoil. The big boys are put up until deer season. It’s time to play with my little 275 rigby and the 6.5 CM. My shoulder needs a break [emoji23]

If it’s like it is here in Mississippi every where you look has now hiring signs. I’m sure they may be experiencing manpower issues also, or being forced to run a skeleton crew due to covid, depending on how Oregon is I suppose. Hopefully it will all get back to normal pretty soon.

Hey Guys don’t know how close any of your are to Northeast Mississippi, but Lonnie’s sporting goods in Corinth had a very good supply today of powder. They seem to be getting shipments in pretty regularly. Prolly ten or so 1lb jugs of H4350. And quite a lot of other powders. I picked up 400 6.5...
Congratulations ShadeTree! For some reason Tapatalk on my phone will not pull up the pictures [emoji17]. I’m sure it’s a beauty though. Can’t wait for you to post up the first range trip!

Thanks Guy, that would be nice also. I vividly remember you sharing your brown bear trip on the forum. And I have thought about a trip up north a lot since then.

Thanks! Luckily in Mississippi we have very generous bag limits on deer. So I usually get to try several rifle, and load combinations every year. We are allowed (3) bucks, and (5) does per season.

Yes i don’t know why they call it a fad either. It came out in like 2008 and it honestly didn’t really get super popular until probably 2014 or so, atleast not popular locally around me. It’s extremely accurate in the rifles i have tried, and honestly it seems impossible to not find a great...
Thanks guys! I was really wanting to take them both on one of those Russian boar hunts in Tennessee. Until I watched you tube videos of both places I was looking at. Both places people just walked up to them and shot them from like 20 yards away, so that isn’t for me. Maybe one day I could get...
Shot these a a week or so ago, and forgot to post them. Overall still very happy with the accuracy I’m getting out of these two rifles. In my 416 rem I switched from Hornady brass to Norma. Used the exact same load and picked up 58fps over the Hornady brass. Which I figured there would be some...
A lot of people really hate on the cartridge and say the 260 rem and 6.5x55 are better. I’ve owned all three of them, and their on game performance is identical. For the person that wants to shoot tight groups with FACTORY ammo though, the creedmoor has a definite advantage over the other two...
Your groups are way better than I ever got with that bullet. And I tried it in four different 6.5 creedmoor rifles lol. For some reason I just never got it to shoot, but I’m sure they work great on game, that’s a great lookin mushroom.

Furthest if I remember was around 280 yards. I had the 270 when I still deer hunted with hounds, so vast majority was between powder burn to about 150 yards I assume lol.

It’s hard to beat a 270 that’s for sure. To this day it is what I compare all other whitetail cartridges too. When I had one I was running 130 Hornady interlocks at I believe between 3140-3180 FPS. Using RL22 and I believe H4831. And has been responsible for more one shot drops than any of the...
That’s a great looking 8x57 load there. I would really like to have one myself. As I move on into my middle 30’s I have become more fascinated with the European cartridges. So far I’ve got the 275 rigby (7x57), two 9.3x62’s, and have owned the 6.5x55 in the past. Would like an 8x57 and a 7x64 to...
I have the sauer 100 XT in 9.3x62. I know it’s their bottom of the line American rifle, but it is made extremely high quality. It’s one of the most accurate hunting rifles I’ve ever owned.

My brother and a friend both had the G40, and for the life of me I just could not get a comfortable grip. It was literally like holding a 2x4 lol
