I used to hunt with a accurized heavy barreled 700 varmint in 6mm. I killed most of the deer with 105gr speer bullets in this rifle and a few with 100gr boat tails loaded to about 3150fps. This rifle was very accurate and would shoot 1/2" with these bullets. I try to double lung the deer I shoot...
Vihtavuori N-550 is a use full powder in the 30-06 that I find's not too temp sensitive.
I get 2887 fps with 54 grs behind the 165gr BT.
58 grs gives me 3060 fps behind the 150gr BT.
ES and SD are less than H-4350.

Copper fouling in the barrel is not good. That's why you fire a shot and clean a new barrel. If you don't remove all the copper the next round will just add more copper and the barrel will take longer or never break in. Some bullets foul more than others do so use standard bullets like BTs and...
Make sure your locking lugs are well lubed and shoot them. After firing the brass will conform to your chamber and the bolt will be easier to open.

Well I've got the 150gr Acubond averaging .567" groups @ 3015 fps. This is just 1/10" more than BTs do in this rifle. The way these Acubonds retain weight I'm thinking you could use a lighter weight bullet getting the same penetration as one step heaver. I've been using 165gr BTs but I'm now...
Federal is my favorite large rifle primer with Winchester being second. I could not get the accuracy with Remington large rifle primers I did with the others.

Around here I shoot most coyotes while sitting in a deer stand with my 30-06. 150-165gr BTs tear them up pretty good but the coyotes around here aren't worth anything.

You've got brass out of stock and dies out of stock but someone will need a reamer that may be out of stock too. By the time you get through wringing out the loads the barrel throat may be toast if it's based on the 6mm Rem. So you may want to have 2 barrels chambered so you can switch after...
I've never been impressed by A.I. cartridges. If the pressures are kept the same the gains I've seen were small if any but at the same time using more powder = more recoil/barrel wear. Fire forming brass seems to be a waste of a good barrel. If I wanted more velocity than the standard 30-06 I...
I had a .444 at one time for woods hunting that I killed about 15 deer with. It was quite accurate for what it was and handy in a climbing stand. Shooting 265 gr Hornadys and Rem 240 gr factory loads worked well on deer at woods ranges but lost it's punch around 100 yds. I would say the .444 may...
