I load for the .375 Taylor and I've found the easiest way to make brass for that cartridge is run .458 Win. Mag. brass through the .375 Taylor FL die and load at full power. Give the reformed cases just a light touch with the case trimmer to square the necks.
I think you could do the same to...
For mid range loads in my .44 Mags I like 10.0 gr. of Unique and a 240-250 gr. cast SWC. Serious bear or mountain lion defense loads are 22.0 gr. A2400 with 240-250 gr. SWC or W296/H110 with the same bullets.
One of the reasons Alliant powders are so hard to find is because they ain't makin'...
You can use neck sized brass in your rifle but as it has rear locking lugs, your brass may stretch sooner than with a rilfe wth front lugs. Then too, you will probably have to full lenfth resize a bit sooner as well. On the cartridges I do neck size I usually check trim prior to loading the case...
"There was no food or other items that usually attract bears inside the tent and it’s not clear what prompted the rare encounter, Wardlow said. “These folks who were involved did everything right and this is just a very unusual situation where that bear still tried to get into their tent, even...
Well, that Mauser action along is worth up to $500, If the stock is decent in form and condition probably another $100 or so so even if the barrel is toast it'd be a good buy IMHO. I'll admit I'm prejudiced in favor of the Mauser action and won't apologize for that. As the current barrel is...
The belt is supposed to provide proper hedspacing of the cartridge, However, it doesn't even come close most of the time, if ever. About the only solution(s) are enlarging the neck, then sizing properly to create a shoulder or charges of fast powder with a wax plug in the neck for a bullet. Then...
First get box of new factory ammo and shoot them. If the fresh factory ammo shows the same problem before setting up the die, then the problem lies with the firearm. This will eliminate any question of whether the brass is once fired or maybe something else. Then follow the instructions I...
For years I hunted almost exclusively with a 30-06. It wasn't until 1973 that I decided that 1903A3 bubba gun was just too damn heavy to be packing ay the higher altitudes I was hunting. Being a very heavy chain smoker at that time didn't help. I found a Remington 660 in .308 for $99.95 plus tax...
Assuming he tries to do what he said, and yes, I know about assuming, if he did send a copper over the copper would probably have to accompanies an LEO from stateside. Probably a U.S. Marshall. Wonder what they would do if I refused to go peacefully? The Marshall would probably laugh unless he...
About the only time I can remembering this was when working with the 7x57 and running out of Winchester standard rifle primers. I had some CCI on hand some used those. Powder was RL17, Winchester brass and the 150 gr. Nosler Partition. Any different in velocity was minimal and accuracy was...
"How long does it take to load 500 cases?"
Damned if I know. Last time I did a batch of .38 Spl. wadcutter loads it took the better part of a week to do 1.800 and change rounds. That doesn't take in the time to cast and lube and size the bullets for the job. I will say they shoot great.

I don't have a .280AI but I do have a regular .280 Rem. Not that when Remington brought out the .280, they specified that the pressure be no higher than loads for the 30-06. This was to insure their pump and semi auto rifle would not be damaged. Funnyting is the chamber thse rifles to the .270...
It's been years since I messed with a .243. In fact, I gave the one I used for years to a son of a friend of mine when I moved from Nevada to Arizona. I'd settled on one load. Powder was the old milsurp H4831 which was quite a bit diffeerent from the current vesion. Bullet was the 100 gr...
Joe hasn't been seen since the last time he got on the plane and it was noted by some that he looked extremely frail. There's now some speculation as to whether he may have passed and the DNC is trying to figure out what to do now? If he has in fact passed, Kamala as VP will be the President...
I have Bisleys on the Super blackhawk frame. A 7.5" 44 and a 5.5" .45 Colt. Just my take on the Ruger Bisley stye, but they handle heavy recoil a bit better than the Colt plow handle but lose some on the point ability. This means I can usually do a hip shot and be more likely to hit something...
