USPS will most likely be your cheapest shipping option. UPS and FedEx can be quite ridiculous. (Prepare yourself for a lot of shipping rates to be ridiculous)
I would recommend buying any reloading components you can and traveling with them if that's your plan. Retailers will not ship powder and...
While I wouldn't recommend it for goats I would absolutely bring it along. Unless room is a factor I'd bring every one of your firearms along if you're moving for good.
And don't be bearanoid, be bear aware. The previous can get you in trouble morenthan you'd think. Where are you heading in the...
Very interested to hear your experience with the ELDX on a heavy boned animal like that. I've been thinking about it for a couple different cartridges but have heard mixed reviews. Best of luck on the hunt. I hear the Nilgai are delicious.
Thanks for the heads up Charlie. I had seen that the other day while researching and figured it was probably what I was going to use to set parameters.
Yeah that's what I told him. Sucker is going to thump at both ends but he seems ok with it. He did pull a Delta tag yes. I'm extremely jealous but at least I get to work the load and go on the hunt with him as a backup. I've got some US869 on the shelf that I'll be toying with for now.
Yeah...
I've got a friend that just picked up a Mark V 338-378 Bee for a bison hunt he's got coming up next fall/winter. He's wanting to run with the 280gr LRX, good choice in my personal opinion, but Barnes isn't listing any load data for that combo for some reason. Bullet too long maybe?
Any thoughts...
I was lucky enough to score some 250gr round nose Hot Cors off of GunBroker a few months back at a good price. Currently working a load for them in the 350 Rem Mag with IMR4064. Looking forward to using one on a black, or brown, bear at the bait station this spring.
Personally I use tempilaq and the Annealeez machine. As far as tempilaq in the case neck I use an old scrap piece of brass from whatever cartridge I'm annealing to set up. Then just run the good brass through.
I used to just spin through the flame in my fingers though I've always used tempilaq...
So we know that the bonded bullets(Accubond) like a bit more jump normally than the cup and cores. Question is, how far have you actually jumped one?
I ask because I'm in the prelims of working a 180gr Accubond load for a new Vanguard in .300Bee. Box length is going to be right at SAAMI max of...
I've found most all rings that come on dies lacking no matter the manufacturer. I upgraded everything to these a couple years back and they're super solid.

Thanks Fotis. Wasn't sure if it would leave a permanent mark/indent on the brass or not. Been thinking of trying it for a couple different cartridges but wasn't sure about that.
