There is no difference between someone trespassing on property and breaking into your home.

    BEARS

[/color] No clue other than a drink that your MUM likes....................... Probably sold at Gilley's.......... I was never one for too many "fancy" drinks. The margarita yes, beer yes, Crown or Jack and coke....yes when I was young. Now days it is wine at my BIL's, beer anytime and...

    BEARS

Another interesting thread April, For hunting I would go with a .340 wby loaded with 240 gr. North Forks. They were designed with the large browns in mind anyway. Not sure for defense. Like others have said there has got to be a difference between one just minding his own business and one...

Do you load for other people?

I don't either, Mostly because I have only been loading for a couple of years and do not feel like I am at the point to teach others. That and I still have a ton to learn. :>)

Elk rifle musings and 30-06 168 TTSX experience

Thanks, I can't really badmouth the TSX bullet, I have two dead bulls with them. And since all this talk about cartridges, bullets, size and all about degrees of overlap; my plan is to make adjustments where I can hoping to hedge my bets.

    Pondering 2017 fall hunting rifles...

The nicer wood rifles only hunt where the chances of being scratched are minimal. If I know that things are going to be rough then the "beater" comes along for the ride. That said I do have a few "merit badges" on all rifles. Eventually every rifle will wear some scratch if used. It is what...

    Moose vs Grizzly

It would be a god idea to rifle hunt grizz with Scotty. If the bear gets mad I would simply point to old Scotty and that bear might think twice about it?

    Moose vs Grizzly

I'd want to do a combo of both! Both are on the old bucket list and it would be a time to do both on one hunt. A trip you would never forget.

Changing loads for Elk vs. deer

It feels kind of strange having anything to say about this subject with only taking two elk. Especially in this circle! Still, my 2 cents is going in anyway. :>) I've never been a fan of fragile bullets or lack of full penetration. It just seems to me that having a "light for caliber"...

    Sons, Daughters, grandchildren

Mine probably won't hunt this year which is kind of sad. One son has kind of lost interest in hunting. There are other things on his mind the last few years that take up almost all his energy. The desire to hunt was instilled in him at a young age and I know it's in there so at this point I...

    Grizzly Mount ?

I would have the full body mount because it is an exceptional bear.

    Pondering 2017 fall hunting rifles...

I am sorry to hear that some things dont change and that some of the nonsense Kelly, Pat, and Aleena experienced is now being directed at Cheyenne. I dont know this but it would not surprise me if the same malcontent is involved in trying to destroy Cheyenne's life. I would like to thank the...

    Pondering 2017 fall hunting rifles...

This year is about making a few things right so to speak. That .340 wby I mentioned was a gift from a friend who is no longer with us and his wish was that I enjoyed it as much as he enjoyed his own. He lived in Alaska and hunted everything with it including bears. He was also keen on the 240...

    Your "most used" rifles???

I'm with the good doctor on this, Some rifles because of what they have done or who had them before might be the story. It's great to have something of beauty for sure but, a couple great stories that accompany that rifle means more to me.
