I don't see where there is a problem. Your load is shooting 1.5 MOA or less. This has been common for me with NP's. Shoot a few groups with 5-10 rounds to make sure. Remember, an elk is minute of pie plate.
Some thoughts:
Your 56 grains of IMR 4350 is 1g high according to Nosler #6...
Supposedly, Nosler did not include the 7mm RUM in their #5 because they could not get realiable/consistant pressures. Might have been that they were trying powders that were too fast. Seems they worked it out for #6.
To get a good comparision between the 7mm STW and the 7mm RUM, take a...
One of the "best" rules I have found to live by is 1 gun, 1 load, 1 job. If for some reason you need another "job" done, you buy another gun. Works for me.
Of course, different reloading books vary on their recommendations. They were shot from different rifles/barrels. However, if its recent data (within about the last 10 years) in those books, all have been well pressure tested.
QuickLoad is just a programers scientific wild a$$ guess. For...

Thanks for the info.
Where did you come up with an OAL of 2.430? Nosler #6 has 2.350 and my rifle is 2.487 for .005 off the lands. Oh well.
Funny that H4831sc and IMR4831 did not show up in your data. They are listed in #6 for the 60 grain Partition at 95% and 93%.
ETA: Pic below...
Since Nosler has yet to have any loads for the 22-250 AI and the 60 grain BT in their on-line database, let me offer this.
RL22; 44-45 grains, CCI 250 primer, for 3525-3550 fps (26 inch barrel, 1:12 twist).
Happy varminting!
+1
Only to add:
SD only applies when comparing bullets of like construction; lead to lead, copper to copper, Partition to Partition, etc.
ETA: Once you reach full penetration as in a high speed Barnes, Failsafe or E-tip pass through, your only concern should be a not too short blood trail...
Exactly my point above!
To get the most out of the high speed, heavy bullet 338's, most would NOT want a rifle light enough to carry. You would want to bench it. 8)
Just FYI:
The guy I mentioned, Ray Weller, is building an EDGE with a 36 inch barrel tying to break 3200 fps with a 300 grainer for elk hunting at a max of 1500 yards (he is in a wheelchair). He has been begging Bob Nosler for an AB in that weight for a couple of months. His alternatives are...
I think we agree for the most part. A 338 Lapua, Ultra or EDGE rifle firing a 300g bullet at 3000-3200 fps SHOULD not be a carry rifle. It WOULD kick the snot out of most including me (I'm a wuss). Higher rifle weight, a rest or bench and a break are the easiest ways to tame it. BTW, I...
