Well, new to me anyway. Some of you may remember me telling you about the two rifles my cousin gave me the past two deer/elk seasons. Well, after a long delay getting the photos posted, here they are (I hope).

I used IMR 4198 a while back in my "tripple duce" (222) with fair results. Anything small might be a place to look.
On another note, you stated this in your original post, "[i]280, but have a very solid load for it already"[i]
Care to share that load data?

The question was asked, "Not sure how many times you have hunted them or watched them run when getting away from a predator"........Your answer is "many, many times".
While I agree there are a number of names that can be/are given to various game animals, I think the "pronghorn" (antelope...
So what does one do the resolve the problem of not enough storage space or, too many guns? Simple, just go buy another gun safe 'cause you can never have too many guns.
I had to resolve that very problem this past weekend and bought a second gun safe, albeit a tad smaller than the first one...
I want to get something off my chest about the way some people call the pronghorn antelope, a "goat", "speed goat", etc. The pronghorn antelope is NOT a goat and deserves to be called what it indeed is, an PRONGHORN or ANTELOPE.
The Pronghorn Antelope, native to ONLY No, America, is...
RCBS makes two different reloading dies sizes for the 280 Remington, one considered "small base" and the other "full length". I am advised by RCBS technical folks that the small base die is designed to size shells for the autoloaders but NOT for bolt action rifles. Apparently the chamber in...
Thanks for the help. I will give it a try but may hae to wait a bit as our deer season opens this Saturday and I will be "busy" for a while. Once the season (9 days) is over, I'll jump on this again and try things out.
Thanks once again.
I am looking for a set of FL RCBS reloading dies in 280 cal.
I had located a set but it turned out to be for the small base brass and not the FL standard dies I am looking for so I'm still looking........Anyone have such a critter?
I asked this once before but got no response so will try one more time.
Can someone advise me how to post pictures on here? I'm not the strongest computer guru so simple guidance would be appreciated.
I want to post photos of two different rifles my cousin gave me, one last year and one again...
I have a friend who is asking if he loads with ballistic tips for target shooting/sight in, will he get the same results if he loads accubonds, all other factors being even. I advised him that he needs to shoot the new loads (accubonds) to get the actual results. He thinks the results will be...
Hornady "Collet" type bBullet puller is the best I have used. I also have the RCBS kinetic (hammer type) and I seem to go to the Hornady puller when I need one.
Kinda fits with another post I made recently (Name your poison). Consensus show there which bullet the folks seem to prefer and I think it would carry over to most calibers. Just saying......
I appreciate all the input and have to tell you that I too agree with the 180 or 200 partitions.
As I stated, the debate was related to the 165 gr bullets and a number of you commented on that particular size. I have no argument with the l80 or 200's and was trying to convience the other...
I'm in a debate with another local reloader on which bullet YOU would select for your elk load in .300 Win Mag. and using a 165 grain bullet. I choose the 165 gr. to keep uniformity in the selection, knowing that a heavier bullet might be a better choice.
The bullets debated are (Not listed in...
boolit.........
First of all, get it right, .270 Winchester.... and second it's just another caliber dude.
Sorry for the mis-typing, I KNOW the difference..........
And, my name is NOT 'dude". :)
