was this call just by CO

I agree with JD. When you hire a guide you are trusting him to help you get on game and have a successful hunt. If he is telling you to shoot again or you missed that is on him. Also something not mentioned yet and that I find somewhat amazing is this. So you as the hunter/shooter are taking a...

The ultimate mule deer and antelope rifle?

For the ultimate I would say the 257wby is hard to beat. Other wildcats that come to mind might be the 270STW!! Would love to build a 270STW. Anyone built one??

    6mm 90gr accubond arrival date

    30-378

A 200gr Accubond and Retumbo is what I would start with. 106gr of Retumbo and Fed215M is what my rifle loves. Also RL25 or H1000 would be a good choice.

    300 Weatherby 150gr Partition

To me it just seems if you are going to be using a 300wby you should be loading at least a 168gr if not a 180gr bullet. If you wanted to hunt with a 150gr 30cal why not just use a 30-06 and have far less recoil and powder use. The 300wby really shines with a 180gr bullet and RL22, H1000 or...

    300 WBY advice

For the weatherby I load for I usually load to Max magazine length. I then check to make sure it will eject a loaded round and if not shorten OAL until it will. What poweder and bullet are you shooting?

Looking for Same Accuracy but More Power

Steve. Looks like you have a great group and load going there. I wouldnt change a thing. Most loads and barrels have a sweet spot and it looks like you found it with that powder. I would hunt with it this season and if you wanted more speed you might change powders and play around with it a bit...

Curious About What is Being Loaded at the Present

Need to finish working out my 243AI load. Its about 7/8" but I know I can get better. Havent even changed OAL yet. Also need to wrap up 30-378 w 200gr accubonds. Hoping to start sighting in my muzzleloader this weekend but quail season might get in the way!

Is it my load or barrel?

What brand of rifle is this? Maybe it could be helped my a simple bedding job? Also sometimes a rifle will actually get more accurate the further from the lands. Have you tried seating this load @.050 off or even .075 off the lands?

    To all blacktail hunters

Great hunt to draw! I think you should have no problem locating deer on that hunt. Just search google for the harmon scents if you are going to try them. I would think you could set up with some doe in heat on a trail and with some rattling have no problem. Good luck on the hunt... Be sure to...

    A-bolt buttplate

Badger. The plate is easily removeable. I used a razorblade to slowly slice through the glue holding the plate to the stock. I then removed the plate by grabbing it with needle nose pliers and a slight tug. I would recommend the limbsaver recoil pad. Mine took just a slight moving of the...
