Nice Group. Glad to see RL22 worked well for you. If you are that concerned with the group size you could play with OAL a little. I would say thats a fine group.
Woody Excellent choice. I am currently looking into a 243AI as well. There is a great website with a vast amount of information.
go to accurateshooter.com. Good luck. Very interested in how your turns out!
Nitis I was also suspecting that you needed to neck turn the brass. I would start there. Also after once firing the brass I usually trim all my brass to trim length. Let us know what else you need. Good luck.
Jmad I am very interested in your findings. My 95gr VLD's just came in yesterday. I will be loading some this weekend hopefully. Walt gave me the following info.
41.0-45.5 IMR7828ssc
41.0-45.5 RL 22
41.5-46.1 H4831sc
Those are the 3 I am going to try. Let me know if you want anymore data.
Hey guys. I got my stock yesterday so did an initial test fit lastnight. Everything looked to fit very nice. I will be removing the pressure point and bedding the action next week. I am still considering duracoating the metal parts. What you think? I know JD will love it.
I really like the redding primer pocket tool. If you don't have a trim mate the reffing comes with an adapter for a drill. It has worked wonders on squaring the pockets. I notice its usually the bottom of the pocket more than the sides. Good luck.
POP Amazing rifle and excellent choice of scope! Was considering the NF also.. Cant wait to see some groups and velocity! What powder you thinking of for it?
