Hi All,
Well, how did the Nosler E-Tip perform? Well, I'll start by saying that I had moose steak for dinner! But I would also like to give you some details, so here it goes...
A close friend of mine was picked in a moose hunt lottery for this year. I've been reloading for him ever since he...
My father use to put cigarette filters in my ears when I was 7yrs old and shooting trap every week. Might explain my poor hearing I have now. If you want to spend the money (~$80.00) have some custom ear plugs fitted for your ear. Real comfortable and great for hunting. Most any audiologist can...
Hello All,
Anyone out there use ballistics gel? I use the old wet newspaper technique but it's a pain to get the papers, soak, carry, clean-up, etc and I'm not getting all the information I want. I was thinking about trying some gel. I know the "real stuff" is expensive but I was thinking about...

I wonder how many of you have tried the E-Tip? I have and think they're great but there has not been much on this site (feedback on performance). I found the E-tips to be as good if not better than the ballistic tip (for flight) and they really do stay together better than the ballistic...

"If the powder is bad, you'll be able to smell it". How does bad powder smell? Is it a moldy smell? I hope it doesn't smell like the package of moose meat I found dated 1987  Still think I should have tried it
I use the Wilson trimmer. Very good for the price but if you're reloading mult. cal then you need different shell holders. The new RCBS trimmers are nice but do not use the standard RCBS shell holders ($$$). Go with the Wilson and lock into a good vice.

As good if not better flight than the ballistic tips. Those longer bullets seem to make a difference. May explains why I do better with the 155gr Lapua Scenars vs the 155gr Nosler Comp (30 cal).
I usually experience a 30-35% mass loss with the Ballistic tips. I have not yet checked the E-Tips...
Nosler 30 cal Ballistic Tip 1.364"
Nosler 30 cal E-Tip 1.475"
I feel like I'm the only one that purchased E-Tips. I've posted a bunch but have not seen much feedback on this site? :?
Hi Friends,
I have a question that I thought one of you would know the answer to. I have some reloads that I made for a friend that lives quite a distance away from me. Can I send the ammo to him via UPS or Fed EX? What are the laws. Some one told me that I could send UPS if I wrote "something"...
I would think the same thing if I haven't order from Nosler before. Usually only takes a few days. I haven't seen anyone post anything about the E-Tips. I can't be the onlyone that ordered them. By the way, you're right about MA. Thank GOD I have a camp in ME!

I've been using Nosler 2nds brass in .308 and have had great luck. It is hard to see why they are seconds. However, with that said, Nosler 1sts are weight sorted +/- .5 gr. I have seen as much as +/- 4.7 gr with the .308 seconds.

Hello Friends,
As like many of you, I ordered a batch of E-Tips. Can't wait to test them. I'm sure Nosler has completed extensive testing and I would assume would have some ballistics data to share with us (powder loads data specifically). Given that the E-tip is like no other bullet (material...
