Guy-
I would disagree, we are splitting hairs on accuracy and precision. Guns can be accurate and guys can make accurate shots like you did on your Mule deer. Good Shooting by the way. Precision is important to make accurate shots.
If my gun is not capable of holding a consistent cold bore...
Not to offend anyone, but why would you want to achieve the best accuracy at the bench? If it doesn't translate in the field? That whole mind-set always baffles me. If I can squeeze all the accuracy I can out of a rifle, that means in the field I know I have a premier performer and that I know...
Several things occurring here. One, the scratches are from dirty brass scratching your dies, thus scratching your brass. You may want to clean the dies and see if they scratch the brass still. If so, I would send the dies off to be polished.
Second, it looks like your brass was resized a lot...
I would buy a Swarovski Scope, adjust the focus based upon you not wearing glasses and then adjust the parallax. I had to get my dad a Swarovski and man, there's a difference for sure! I'm selling two scopes now. PM if your interested. Both are Z6i scopes 5-30x50. Illuminated

I'm loading my Warbird with the 212's ELD-X bullet that is. I get a velocity of 3120 and use a 1/10 twist to stabilize them. They prefer a .035" jump fyi.. the performance so far has been great! Groups are a dime size at 200 yards and on an elk it pounded it! Had a massive wound channel, no exit...
The bullet you use has nothing to do with your barrel length, it's the barrel's twist. The twist will tell you how well your barrel will stabilize a certain Bullet.
Barrel length affects barrel harmonics and velocity. It's about 50fps per inch of barrel. So add or subtract that , depending how...
New Mexico 2016. We spotted this Bull 1.7 miles away. Drove 2 hours around into Arizona and back into New Mexico. We hiked up to where we last spotted him. 3 hours later I glassed him bedded 380 yards from us. I handed my dad the rifle, adjusted the turrets, he got down and the rest is history...
I feel bad saying this, especially on this forum, but I'm not impressed with the 26, 28, 33, maybe a 41 Nosler compared to John Lazzeroni's cartridges. Just my opinion though. I've had my Warbird for almost 10 years. I just replaced the pencil thin barrel with that Proof barrel. PROOF was...
I always run mine through a resizer to ensure the necks will hold my bullets like I want them to. Besides it will be consistent to what your reloads will do if you are working up loads. Neck tension is one of the most important things to accomplish

Here's my Lazzeroni Warbird running the 212 ELD-X bullets at 3120 fps and a SD of 6.3

I have some Swarovski scopes for sale . They are above your budget but worth every penny! Especially for hunting and low light conditions. They both have the BT turrets. PM if you are interested and want some pics.

I meant load up some loads to test your rifles max charges. It will make you spend an extra day at the range, but you will know your rifle's max load using that bullet
My wife thinks I only have 3 guns
Do a quick load work up to find your max load. Use the info above and test your rifle using a chrono and know the signs of pressure
