Twenty years ago I had a Hart barreled Wby. Vanguard 7mm08 that loved RL-15 with any 140 bullet! Which surprisingly is still available even today at Powder Valley, etc.
For some odd reason it won’t let me fully download the picture of the target. I’ll have to blame that on T-Mobile for selling off their cell tower they got from Sprint, which was 5G. Now it’s owned by Horizon LLC and over the last six months has been pathetically slow and only getting worse...
I was testing that at distance to see why my Shooter App was not lining up with what was happening down range on steel.
I had not accounted for a 1/2” high 100 yard zero in the App, and why I was shooting high the previous day.
I shot thus ten round group at 250 W/O adding anything to the scope adjustment. It was shooting a half inch high at 100 yards.
I wish I had not walked out after shooting 3 rounds, I didn’t want to find out the tall grass was effecting my POI. Which I don’t think they were, but I went to finish...
I’ve had an Impact Precision sitting around for three years now that I thought I’d build a 22 ARC around a 1:7” Bartlein #3 contour in SS I also have. My only concern is that Hornady designed it for semiautomatic AR rifles vs a long throated bolt gun and I’m probably going to have to have...
It’s not Rocket Science. If you take the H2O capacity, a given bullet weight by caliber, the overall length of the barrel and which type of powder are you planning on using. You might know how it performs in other rifles you’ve tested and look at the data. BL-C2 is a prime example, super fast...
I remember that day when I walked into the LGS that had both the 700, and 7600 in 35 Whelen and walked out with the pump gun version. Not long after that I regretted not getting the 700 bolt gun since the pump gun I had wasn’t as accurate as I thought it might be…..
I eventually sold it and...
I read that some people were saying that the Deep Curl bullets due to their jackets can sometimes produce pressure spikes?
Has anyone used these before, and experienced anything weird like that? It’s stated that due to the jackets construction, and possibly why they discontinued these bullets?
Nothing wrong with getting a new replacement for a broken scope.
I’ve had some scopes that either went bad right away, (ATACR 7-35x56), or lasted 10 hard years, (Schmidt & Bender PMII 5-25x56).
That said I think the older scope companies tend to last longer and have better customer service...
I have two of them, one is the same as yours, the other is the 7-35x56 ATACR F1. They were both on two different PRS rifles, the 7-35 got moved to my Vudoo V22 LR after it failed on me.
Found these laying around yesterday and thought…. Oh wow, haven’t seen those in a long time!?!
I already developed a load for my 280 AI FMR with the 160 BT, and 160 Partition that both shoot to the same POA. I would have used the 175 Partitions had I not had any IMR 7828 on hand, but I sold...
Give Nosler a chance to get satisfaction from your rather large purchase of ammunition. That is unless your chamber is out of spec, but I’m not going to speculate.
Rather than readjusting my zero I just added .5 Mrad/Mil to the scope which I was able to hit a 3.5” circle holding dead on at 250 yards as seen in the picture.
It’s super simple to just adjust the poi to achieve MBR impact at X distance depending upon how far away you want to go.
I have most of the parts, waiting on the stock to be made, and a magnum bolt from Jim Borden. A good friend of mine put one together last year and was a outstandingly accurate rifle at 1,200 yards with the ELDX bullets going a little over 3,200 fps from a 22" bbl using VV N570.
I went with...
I reshot the target at 250 yards again after seeing what 6/10ths of a Mil would do at 100 yards which was just about 2.25” high, so I reduced it to .5 Mrad and was able to stay within the 4” window at 250, which would be just about 1.875” high at 100, but I did not confirm that.
Here’s 250...
