Did a quick ladder test with the freshly built 6 creed last week at 300 yards. Just wanted to share the results. Anyone care to take a guess where I loaded the rest of the batch up?
This is why I got into long range 22 LRs a few years ago. It's cheap, don't have to reload or use up components, still get that trigger time, and it's just plain fun shooting 22s out to 500 yards.
With that said, I have a fine line these days as to what I'll pay since I'm still shooting on $25...
I would throw them all straight in the trash...
I've been using them for years (brass cups) with no issues until last week doing load development for my new 6 creed. I blew 1 primer and had 4 gas leaks out of the first 50 cases. I was not hot rodding them at all either, before anyone jumps to...
You can get 3100fps with 160s in a 7 mag with a stiff load of Retumbo pretty easily I know that much. It's more at home around 3000fps however.
I love the 7-300 Win Mag personally. I can do 180g ELDMs at 3150 pretty comfortably from my 28" Bartlein if I want to with RL26. But I chose to go with...
Thank you Dr Mike. I have RL17, but it's for the wife's 7/08 haha. Not a lot of great powders for that particular combo, and RL17 is the only one I have out of all them. Trying to reach 2950-3000fps with the 80s. Might have to drop down to the 75s and settle for around the 3K mark.
Wonder if...
I'll let ya know how it is, just received100 pieces of 6mm CM for my custom build. Don't think I've seen or heard of 1 bad thing about it though. I weighed like 20 of the cases and they only varied .5g from the low to high. I'd say that's pretty good for that small sample size. I bet they're all...
Dropped off the 240 yesterday to get restocked and barreled to a 6 CM so I won't have much use for the 240 RCBS dies and 50 pieces of 1x fired weatherby and 50 pieces of 1-2x fired Norma. Dies and brass are in great shape. Brass has been tumbled and pockets have been uniformed.
Looking to get...
