    40 Varmagdedons in No.1V 22-250??

I shoot the 40g tipped version in a R700 222 and they shoot 3/8-1/2 MOA easy at 3500fps with IMR4198. I don't think the bullet is the issue here.

    Possible .257 wildcat

Sounds like a lot of work and money to reinvent the wheel to shoot a 100g bullet at 3200fps when a 25/06 will easily get 33-3400fps as is. But, if it's a short action, why not a 25 creedmoor or 25-284? Plenty of good brass and same if not higher velocities. Then again, I know exactly what you...

180gr Accubond Recovered From Red Stag

Pretty good performance I'd say. I personally opt for the 200g AB on elk size game with 300 Mags. They've exited for us on elk 90% of the time from 50-900 yards.

    .22 Long rifle picks

Need to try some Eley Tenex or Lapua Center X in my rifle just to see what it's really capable of. But gosh dang it's hard to pay $20/50...I'm fine with SK for what I'm doing. It's not a BR rifle. Just for steel shooting and mechanics.

    .22 Long rifle picks

Definitely worth trying at least a few different types of good match ammo at 100-200-300 yards to see what your rifle likes. The biggest inconsistencies I've seen with 22 ammo is the vertical. Also lot numbers play a huge factor, even with the same ammo. With that said, it's very addicting once...

    .22 Long rifle picks

Oh it's a ton of fun. I went 7 for 10 on a 20" plate my first attempt. What was really funny is a couple guys showed up to the range and asked what I was shooting and how far just as I was setting up for 500 yards. You should have seen the look on their faces and their jaws on the floor once...

    .22 Long rifle picks

I have to dial 65 MOA on the Venom, and use the Christmas tree reticle at 30 MOA hash mark to reach 500...it's 95 MOA Most guys don't realize how much elevation it takes to shoot 300+ with a 22LR lol. That's why I have the 30 MOA Area 419 base and the Vortex Venom scope for it. I researched it...

    WLR Primers

I just got off the phone with winchester and told them my issue. The lady I spoke with was very nice, she took down all my info and the problems I was having with the primers and said I would receive a call back within 5-7 days to try and resolve the issue. She said they typically ask you to...

My dad took thos BS shots against my advice. He has always been a very healthy man, never got sick. Ever since he took those shots, he has been sick more times than I can count, takes forever to get over it, and a month later he is sick again. He still doesn't see the correlation sadly...My...

    .22 Long rifle picks

If I would've known I'd been that much into the CZ after it was all said and done, I probably would've just went the vudoo route myself. However it just started out as a stock 457 American sporter with the 24" barrel for a range toy, and I just kept going down the rabbit hole from there...First...

    .22 Long rifle picks

I have a CZ457 with a Bartlein, Boyds varmint stock with adj cheekpiece, 8 oz trigger, Area 419 30 MOA base, and a Vortex Venom 5-25x. I've made hits on a 20" plate pretty consistently at 500 yards with SK long range. 300 yards is a breeze on 10" plates. I participate in a few local PRS 22...

    WLR Primers

That's what I thought at first also. I was blaming the Peterson brass, which is really highly unlikely, after all its top tier brass up there with Lapua. After confirming several more of the same issues on the hide, I'm 99% certain it's those shitty Winchester primers. Funny thing is tho, I...

    WLR Primers

I guess I could try that. Worth a shot. They all seat fine, nice and tight actually. Something else is the issue. Shouldn't have gas leaks and blown primers, under max loads on nice tight seated primers. It's a known issue tho. If you go on over to the hide, many others have had the same thing...

Anyone using 150 gr AccuBond in a 7mm-08?

It's a good little load for a 7/08. About perfect at those speeds on deer and elk out to 500 yards, which is far as she can shoot anyway.

    Elk Hunting Caliber

No worries, we are all good here! I was just saying either of those 7 mags he mentioned will make short work of elk at 600 yards, that's just getting started really. My furthest elk kill was 1150 yards with the lowly 7mm RM and a 162g AMAX at a mere 2925fps. He went 40 yards with a lung hit...

Anyone using 150 gr AccuBond in a 7mm-08?

We use the 150g NBTs in the Wife's Kimber 22" mountain rifle with RL17 at 46.5g I believe, for 2825fps and 1/2-3/4 MOA. I know it's not the AB, but it's pretty close enough anyway.
