Quickload for 300 Wby and Nosler 200 Partition and the Speer Impact 190 at 64K?

I have a Remington factory rifle in the BEE, but have not had time to check the seating depth, leade or anything. I would "assume" it being a SAAMI cartridge that Remington would have the same long throat/leade. I'll be checking it for sure. Thanks for the info, sounds, so far, like the Hornady...

Quickload for 300 Wby and Nosler 200 Partition and the Speer Impact 190 at 64K?

What brass and primer are you using Pard? I have seen some older Dupont data that shows 83gr 7828/200, must be running 65K I would think. I like to be around 64K, just for grins. I have used what I call "hot loads" in Norma brass (Wby) and they are just too soft, primer pockets open up pretty...

Quickload for 300 Wby and Nosler 200 Partition and the Speer Impact 190 at 64K?

Thanks guys! I haven't had any R22 for years now, but I shot alot of it "back in the day", ha. I had a bit of an issue with it in my first 280 Ackley. My load was fine up here in Utah, but an early February exotics hunt in Texas gave me flat primers and "almost" stuck bolt! Spooked me. ha

    Caught Yet "Another" Great Deal!

Thanks Pard! I have heard people bad-mouth Douglas barrels for decades, but every one I ever had was very accurate! I don't know if they can't shoot or its the barrel they ended up with, for me, I like Douglas.

Quickload for 300 Wby and Nosler 200 Partition and the Speer Impact 190 at 64K?

Thank you Rev Doc! I got right at 3100 in a 26" 300 RUM/Retumbo for my SIL's rifle/200 NAB. I found some 200 Partitions which I prefer. I never shot it faster than 2600 thereabouts in my last 24" 30-06. Even 2900 has got to be a thumper! I will now Sing.....:) Nice to see some higher pressure...

Quickload for 300 Wby and Nosler 200 Partition and the Speer Impact 190 at 64K?

Help! I need some data for a 24" barrel (its at the Smiths, don't know the actual throat length on this Model 700 factory 300 wby yet) I could wing it with all the data I have so far, but none are for over 62K, and I would "like" to get 64K or as close as the rifle likes them. It would also...

    Caught Yet "Another" Great Deal!

I have both my 300wby and the '06 at two different Smith's. As mentioned, this Kimber 84L .270 is a very light rifle, fine for the deep mountains or timber. I did get to thinking "Hey, I need a heavier .270", you know, for the windy prairies and those "jump out of the truck and shoot off the...

300 WSM vs 300 Win Mag

My SIL has a Tikka T3 Lite in synthetic and in 7mm RM he bought for those kinds of hunts. I have had three Kimber Mod 8400s in 300WSM that were great rifles, light to carry, heavy enough to shoot well. I put Tikkas in the same ballpark. Have a ball Sir!

I'm going to leave this Classic in 30-06, no rechambering to Ackley/Sherman/Gibbs (sorely tempted to? Sure!) I just want a good solid '06 in a Classic Stocked Mod 700. It will go nicely with my Mod 700 300 wby!

Yeah! Gent wrote that the Classic is on its way, should get it by the 23rd! Hot Dog!

    Caught Yet "Another" Great Deal!

Well...I found a nice Mod 700 Classic in 30-06 up in Montana. Very reasonable price is why I jumped on it. Reason is, it should still be a Sporter weight ( I have had many, nice balance between heavy/light, for me anyway.) I have only hunted with ONE Kimber, an 84M Classic, back around 20+ years...

    Caught Yet "Another" Great Deal!

Sold it next day to a fellow Elk Hunter over in Oregon! We are both Happy! The day before, I checked on a Local AD for a tricked out (heavier synthetic, Parkerized Metal) Model 700 in 300 WBY. He needed money and when he told me it was still Sporter Weight, we made a deal! I had sold the...

WBY Mark V 6 Lug Ultra Lightweight in New 338 RPM

Thanks for the appreciation for the rifle guys, but I just couldn't hold it as steady as I needed. So I'm back to Sporter/Sporter Mag weights! lol At 71 and bolted together, it takes me "a bit" to get into the Sitting Position. ha

WBY Mark V 6 Lug Ultra Lightweight in New 338 RPM

( I apologize, I had this rifle priced wrong, fixed it) I decided to sell this rifle . its just too light for me to hold still. I did shoot a big Cow elk last week around 150yds though. I'm going back to Standard Weights. Let me tell you what I have: Rifle started out as a 338/06 A-Square. I...

    Caught Yet "Another" Great Deal!

After thinking about it this weekend, I decided to sell the little Wby Mark V ULwt. Just too light for me to hold still from a hunting position ( or something that slight resembles a Sit Position, ha) Check out my AD in Classifieds....

    Caught Yet "Another" Great Deal!

I remember Col. Charles Askins hunting a Polar Bear with the then new 7mm RM and the factory 175 clkt. He said something that just seemed to strike a note in me! He was gifted the rifle/hunt in order for him to do a story on it. He really preferred the 8mm over anything (absolutely hated the...
