    22 Creedmoor

LRI built my 6.5 Creed and it is the most accurate gun I own.

    Why not a 300 WSM?

The 300WSM is one of the good ones! In the Win70 or it's clones it works very well. You can have a smith adjust the throat to max out the 3+" magazine and get every ounce of performance as well as allow you to shoot the heavies. Scott

    New rifle!

My cousin had one those. We called him "firefight" because he'd always darn near empty the magazine to get his deer. "One shot - One kill" was not his motto  . I miss him, we had a lot of adventures together. Scott

    6.5 PRC...is no one intrigued?

I'm kind in the same spot as Fotis. I have a 6.5Creed and 6.5WSM; kinda got it covered. Scott

    22 Creedmoor

I'd go ahead and use 22-250AI data. They're within a few grains of each other. I've used RL26 with 77 and 80 gr pills. Scott

    6.5mm barrel blank

    +1 on this. I'm running a 6.5WSM on a Mod 70 and have a 3.1" mag. Made to run the Heavies with a 1 in 8. I'm running 142s, 143s and 147s so far. I don't have any doubt it'll handle the 150s.

    Favorite powder for 45acp?

Getting ready to buy a few cans of powder for 185gr and 200gr bullets. Which are everybody's favorites? I have CFEpistol to start. Thanks, Scott

    I'm a progressive now

If I could get them to load mine as well, I could just spend my time shooting!

    I'm a progressive now

Just added a Hornady AP to the bench to load pistol and 223. Any sage advice as I start learning about this new toy. Hopefully my production will increase. I haven't been able to keep up with the single stage. My son shoots my ARs like 22s and my daughter can go through 250rds of pistol in a...

7 Mashburn Super 195 Berger H1000 and Retumbo

Scotty, They shot very well out of my 28Nosler with RL33. I just didn't like what they did hitting water jugs up close. Simulated long shots at the jugs they performed well. They don't like impact speeds over 2900fps. The ABLR held together at 3200fps. That's the difference bonded vs nonbonded...

    Win 94AE 30-30

Thanks Gentleman, I picked one up for 300$. Had the brass, dies and bullets from helping a youngster with his first rifle. Thought I'd mess around with one. Never had a 30-30 before. Should be nice to shoot offhand and have a little fun. Scott

    Win 94AE 30-30

What do you think a Win 94AE (non XTR) in 30-30 is worth? It's in good shape with a little freckling on the receiver. Pre-wart safety as well. Thanks, Scott

CRF - how important is it?

My 2cents.... I like the controls of my Win 70s. 3 position safety, robust extractor and fixed ejector. The 3 position safety allows working the bolt with the firing pin secured. The extractor has twice or thrice the surface area of most push feed guns. It also takes control of the round prior...

They've got them at SPS at 20% off to boot! I have a few boxes on the way for the 338Rocket. Scott

    28 nosler long range rifle

Starting at .050 off the lands. Work backwards in .020 increments till the group tightens up. The LRABs I've got to shoot have liked a big jump. My 28 shoots .3moa with RL33 and 175ABLRs at .080 off the lands. Scott

    6X45 project post Photobucket

I've been mulling one of these over in my mind. The 70gr BT would be a great coyote round for calling. I think I'd build mine on a CZ mini or maybe a model 7.

    Snakes

I've had run ins with a few rattlesnakes when I ran pointers bird hunting. Never really much drama except making sure the dogs didn't get hit. The young dogs we're the most worrisome. While hunting in Namibia I had a very eye opening experience with a cobra. We had seen several adders and cobras...
