If it shot good enough for you try a LEE factory crimp die. It will probably increase you'll bullet pull pressure enough to take care of the problem. I've had good luck with them.
Just some quick checking with quickload using the basic data you gave 58.2 grains of R19 should give you the same barrel time difference off of optimum barrel time as the 52 grain load did. I've been playing with optimum barrel time calculations. Iwish i had more data to back it up because it...
I made the mistake of loading 50 roads of 22-250 that i just neck sized. The only problem it was old brass that i Inherited from my father that i did not realize I had. After going to the range i found it to be very tight actually i have a case stuck in the chamber right now. Is there any way to...
Never do like i did. I have only one 22-250. So i took some brass and tumbled it and neck sized it. Looked like brand new. Loaded fifty rounds and since this is shot out of my brand new ruger 77 varmit i figured i'de have no problems. Took the gun to the range yeserday and loaded i round. It...
what length barrel do you have and what Overall length are you going to load to? Also do you want loads less than 45000 psi here is one for a 140 grain part. The reason i ask is for figuring out optimum barrel time. To see if it will give you a good starting place. I came up with 36.1 grains of...
in the words of joe dirt's father "How does Positraction on a '65 plymouth work? It just does" try it. if it doesn't work rcbs should be more than willing to help you out.
most likely a rough chamber not allowing the brass to slide back against the bolt face. What kind of gun/age/number of rounds fired? usually a little flitz will solve that problem.
pop have you used the optimum barrel time calculations yet to set up any loads? I thought the guy was full of crap but its worked when i backed calculated five accurate loads in 5 diiferent guns. I think he may be on to something. I'm going to try it on my ruger 77 22-250 this weekend without...
the lee turret presses do the same thing. When you read the directions it will tell you how to set up the dies which will take into account for the play. Kind of like taking into account back lash. Once that's done it will load to a very accurate degree.
I shoot the 110 in 257 roberts out of my rebarreled 24" savage. I load to an O.A.L. of 2.887 which is as long as my magazine box will let me go. I use 44.4 grains of H4350 and it gives me 2875 fps. I think i could go faster but i need a slower powder. If i go up any more with this i start losing...
Its by no means a hard and fast rule by the couple of rifles i've bedded iusually have about 1 1/2" of barrel bedded beyond the reciever. This seems to make it quite stable. If the card at the forend doesn't work try to put under the barrel at the reciever junction.
As always this is just a prediction

pretty much every rifle i have over .243 and under 40 will eventually do the same thing. Different strokes for different folks. As long as they are coming out with a lead free bullet that's a good thing because however the left coast goes all the other sheople will follow unfortunately. Better...
that's why i said undedreducated and not stupid. just a less experience not the inability to learn or comprehend. i would much rather be undereducated on things than stupid especially since i am undereducated on many things. I'm trying to figure out were togo with my 257 roberts. I'm going to...
My best advise is to get hornady's reloading manual volume six. On pages 13 to 27 is gives the best explanation of pressure and headspace i've seen. Not that others aren't good but to me it explains it best the way i understand it. No usually pressure is lower the longer you seat a bullet out...
Can't speak specific's just ran it in quickload. The difference might be because of O.A.L.. I believe rem seated his to the lands which will raise pressure and velocity
This is a chart for varing loads. Please approach max loads very carefully as depending on temp, or powder lot things may change quickly.
