Yes have 2 B&C Medalist Stocks on Weatherby Vanguards. I like them a lot and they shoot great. The only work I did to install them was to sand out a few mold-sprue marks in the barrel channels. I have a HS Precision Stock on a Remington 700 and I would rate the B&C Medalists equal or better.

Try them at 0.100" and at 0.050" like is suggested. My 7 Rem Mag works at 0.050" getting single hole grouping.

At 400 yards and under there is a lot of over-lap between cartridge classes and calibers. In the 180-215 grain bullet weights the .308 Mag calibers have an edge over the 338 WM in bullet Sectional density and BC. Although it's more on paper than in practice. Loading the 338 in those weights...

I would vote with the majority and say Partition. You may get a very close shot in the woods... The BT are tougher than they used to be but up close the Partition isn't going to blow up.
