I think the 150gr Rem CoreLokts are just the bullet your looking for in a <200 yard "woods shot". I've used them and so have many friends for this very reason. At least you should try a box before you commit time and money reloading.

Sizing the new cases and sizing the 1X cases with the same die, Thus case capacity should be same?! BUT, sometimes crazy things can happen reloading. Try filling the sized new cases and the 1X sized cases with water. Weigh cases to see if weight of water is different between the 2.

Dougfir, I don't believe you have a problem with that ring. But, If me, I'd cut one of the fired cases in two. Cut right down the centerline mouth to case head. I would look/check for case thickness in the area of the ring.
