    What has happened to Speer?

Speer are owned by Federal and they seem to be making factory ammo like it's going out of style. I think I remember the CEO of Federal saying that are prioritising factory ammo rather than components. (I also like the 120gr SPBT in my 257 Roberts at +P loads) Scrummy

    Tikka T3x 22-250 1:8 twist

Sounds great! Nosler ballistic tips might be worth thinking about? Also the 60gr TMK?

    Lever options.

Only every owned 2 lever actions 94-22 which I let go. .44 mag Chiappa Alaskan. (you can also get the takedown in .45-70 as well) Currently with a Leupold 2.5x28 Scout Scope Skinner carry case: Reckon should be good for a cleaning kit / rod and an MTM box of 50 rds. And when you...

    .423 NP

I'd love one. A 350gr would be great for plains game I think. 400gr would be great if you wanted softs for DG. Munty

    55gr E-Tip

Thanks buddy. I have a few more loaded up around that point so I will give them a go. Excluding the flyer I will be happy if that is repeatable (I'm not sure at what range that level of "inaccuracy" would cause me issues but I'm pretty sure it's further than I will hunt with that ammo) Munty

    55gr E-Tip

Well folks, Starting to get there with the E-Tip (Think low left was me). Loaded up some more so will test in the next couple of weekends I think. Scrummy

    New 9.3x62

9.3x62 is a great chambering. Looks a nice rifle too. Enjoy it!

.25 something is what I'm going to build.

For speed and ease of components, hard to beat a .25-06

It’s Decided, E-Tips For Hunting This Year

I am trying 55 gr E-Tips in my .223 Rem this year as seems non-lead is coming. (Also have 100gr E-tips for the .257 Roberts) Wondering about the E-Tip in the 9.3x62 in 250gr flavour as well.

    9.3x62 Mauser

9.3x62 my friend. You need one... QD mounts for red dot during the day and switch to 8x56 for high seat and under moon...

    E-Tips BC not as advertised?

I also found that in 25 Cal the 100 gr E-tips where not at length quoted and if you tried loading them to lengths given in Nosler data you ended up going past the ogive and getting crappy neck tension. I will say Noslers BC for their 185gr RDF seems to hold true but that's the only one I have...

    9.3x62 Mauser

Very good chambering. If you are thinking of using it for plains games, Accubond 250gr is a good choice as a bit flatter shooting. 22" barrel probably fine as basically 30-06 case capacity and as others have said a wide bore. I certainly like mine. M

    Fur Friendly .223 Rem load

Now that's encouraging. Just about to work up a load for the E-Tips. M

Think I'm getting somewhere with a .44 mag lever load

Thanks Joe, my first centrefire lever action (Had a Winchester 9422 previously as my only lever experience). The rifle is very different to my bolt action experience but it sure is fun. Not sure on the load yet, that was only one group but hopefully we can duplicate it in the not too distant...

Think I'm getting somewhere with a .44 mag lever load

Hi JD338, Think I have posted it before but this: Chiappa Alaskan, 20" barrel. Currently with a Leupold 2.5x28 Scout Scope Skinner carry case: Reckon should be good for a cleaning kit / rod and an MTM box of 50 rds. And when you unpack it: And out on the range: ATB, Muntjac

Think I'm getting somewhere with a .44 mag lever load

Hi Joe, that might not have been a bad idea. However, having found a load that looks like it will work, I'm tempted to stay with it. This has more to do with being able to get a) Large Pistol primers much easier where I am than Magnum and 2) Viht N110 will have a lot less patchy supply than...
