Nothing wrong with getting a new replacement for a broken scope.
I’ve had some scopes that either went bad right away, (ATACR 7-35x56), or lasted 10 hard years, (Schmidt & Bender PMII 5-25x56).
That said I think the older scope companies tend to last longer and have better customer service...
I have two of them, one is the same as yours, the other is the 7-35x56 ATACR F1. They were both on two different PRS rifles, the 7-35 got moved to my Vudoo V22 LR after it failed on me.
Found these laying around yesterday and thought…. Oh wow, haven’t seen those in a long time!?!
I already developed a load for my 280 AI FMR with the 160 BT, and 160 Partition that both shoot to the same POA. I would have used the 175 Partitions had I not had any IMR 7828 on hand, but I sold...
Give Nosler a chance to get satisfaction from your rather large purchase of ammunition. That is unless your chamber is out of spec, but I’m not going to speculate.
Rather than readjusting my zero I just added .5 Mrad/Mil to the scope which I was able to hit a 3.5” circle holding dead on at 250 yards as seen in the picture.
It’s super simple to just adjust the poi to achieve MBR impact at X distance depending upon how far away you want to go.
I have most of the parts, waiting on the stock to be made, and a magnum bolt from Jim Borden. A good friend of mine put one together last year and was a outstandingly accurate rifle at 1,200 yards with the ELDX bullets going a little over 3,200 fps from a 22" bbl using VV N570.
I went with...
I reshot the target at 250 yards again after seeing what 6/10ths of a Mil would do at 100 yards which was just about 2.25” high, so I reduced it to .5 Mrad and was able to stay within the 4” window at 250, which would be just about 1.875” high at 100, but I did not confirm that.
Here’s 250...
VV N160 worked great in my 260 after having accuracy issues with H4350 which has always been the go-to powder for decades.
That said hopefully you’ll have some luck with VV N560, it will reduce the life expectancy of your barrel though.
Last month I missed the opportunity to take one of two coyotes ranging to dial or knowing where to hold, Mil based reticle, rather then just shoot the damn thing.
Which got me thinking about going back to Maximum Point Blank Range for a 4” kill zone. So I got out my .223 Remington 700...
I had mine built by GAP when George brought it out and components were becoming readily available.
The the 6GT AKA “Gay Tiger” was formed from 6.5x47 brass that was shortened, and necked down to 6mm in the very beginning. It required a lot of effort to make from the Lapua case. Eventually...
Sorry for the late reply! I used a 1970’s Remington 16 ga. 870 WingMaster. Shooting Federal Hi-Power 7 1/2 shot with a Modified Choke.
He was less than 20 yards from us when he stepped around the corner of the trees we were seated in front of.
I will add depending on how you use your scope, make certain that you are familiar with using the reticle, and enjoy using it for your needs.
There are some scopes that depending on the reticle options, that have brought me to purchasing their product!
I’ve spent a lot of time behind...
Here’s how the spread between 41.2 target charge weight numbers look for 30 pieces.
17@41.18
10@41.20
3@41.22
It will vary from time to time on the heavy side if the trickle speed is too high. I don’t really care though. I can’t shoot well enough to make a difference at a match for that...
Thank you very much Ernie, and Guy!
Guy, I use the Short Action Customs Modular sizing die due to it allows me to use it for anything that is a x47 Lapua. The shoulder/neck bushings take care of sizing the entire length of the neck and the shoulder gets stretched to the neck.
A 25x47 comes...
I tested the BoreTech Suppressor cleaner's for Zak Smith in two of his cans when they first came out with it. It’s a two part system, A and B. It worked extremely well and clean everything down to bare metal.
Unfortunately it is expensive, and not something TBAC would take on due to the...
