I have a 300 WM Hells Canyon long range. When i went to check chamber dimensions I discovered that distance to lands is 3.545max COAL. I am using a 200gr partition bullet. Due to the additional length how much is this likely to affect pressure? Rifle twist rate is 1:8 with a 26"barrel

1. I would only use high quality brass that is weight sorted. 2. If possible, I would weigh the powder charge on two scales. Keith

From my experience, all nosler brass has this degree of uniformity. For example the entire box for my 280 Rem varies by .70gr Keith

Scott, +1 for the 308 Win with either a 150 or 165gr bullet. I would strongly encourage your son to use the 7mm-08 with a 150gr bullet. Even if your son is recoil shy, he should definitely be able to tolerate this load. Keith
