    270-760

I'm gonna stick with the 140 ABs but I will start moving the load up and see how it handles a little more pressure. Maybe try it with Grand. I also need to master the trigger. By the way, I also have an old Rem 740 in 244 Rem that I've had for a while and haven't even fired. It is vintage...

    270-760

Both of my bolt rifles, win 70 & rem 700, in 270 win prefer the 150gr bullets too.

    270-760

The old 760 exceeded my expectations. The 140 AB and H4350 grouped well at 11/2" three shots at 100 yds. I experienced some frustration zeroing the old VariX Ii 2x-7x Leupold. Played chase the zero for a while and finally got ot on. It shot well enough I'm gonna need to do some serious load...

I forgot the pic of the rifle.

    270-760

Saw the post about the 7600 Rem in 270 win and was spurred to load some ammo for my 760 I bought in New Mexico a few years ago. I finally got a scope on it but haven't done anything else. I went out on a limb and did something different for me and used a factory crimp on the rounds. I have...

    NOSLER FACTORY BLEMS

Yep, I have red tip accubonds, and Partitions and accubonds with cannelures, all overruns.

OK, just making sure it wasn't my poor computing skills. I guess they have a broke link or something.

Anyone else having issues opening the Hodgdon Reloading Data Site. I've tried several devices and it won't open. Past few days.

7mm Rem Mag 160 grain Accubond load

I have a quick load print out for 160 accubond and it shows 67.1 grs max for 62000 psi at 3124 fps from a 26" barrel.

    308 165 Solid Base Seconds

I shot the 140 Sierra in my 7mm rem mag and they usually left a large exit. I switched to the 140 solid base which left a less dramatic exit. Both had DRT effect.

    270 win browning ABolt 1 150ab suggestions

I don't know. ABs are slower than Partitions within the lengths I stated.

    270 win browning ABolt 1 150ab suggestions

Of the powders you listed, I'm partial to IMR 7828 ssc. I can get close to 3000 fps with a 150 partition from a 22" barrel. My loads start at 0.040 off the lands due to the size of a model 70 magazine box. Oal on my loads hover around 3.340 +- 0.005.

    Best Calibers For Moose Hunting

I too have never hunted moose. I seem to recall that Jack O'Connor killed his first Moose with a 130 gr Silvertip from a 270 Win.

Best all around load .257 Roberts

Going along with what JD posted. The camber on the 700 classic is cut with a bit more freebore so the round can be loaded to a longer length.

    This leupy is no good!

I put an old, say 40 yes old, M8 6x on a 270 win, last month. It wouldn't adjust and the point of impact wandered around. Sent it off to Leupold for repair. They're sending my 6x back along with a VX3HD 3.5-10x cds duplex. I guess they couldn't fix the M8.

That has to be one of the worse ads I've seen.

Best all around load .257 Roberts

My first load for that Bob was a 117gr Sierra gameking with 48grs of H-4831 @ 2975 fps. Killed my biggest south Texas buck with it. A bunch of coyotes and Javelinas went down too.

OK Nosler what is this about?????

It looks like they changed the jacket design a bit making the base thicker with a more abrupt taper on the Ogive.
