Actually two compass. One is in one of those sneaky little pockets inside my pack and one I carry in my pocket. The one I carry in my pocket is a boy scout compass I 've used for 55 years. And water.
I'll likely load up some 162 gr solid base with 72.3 grs to check on consistency. I'm setting up my 7mm mag for a second rifle this season and plan on using the solid base bullet.

The 162 solid base is a sentimental favorite of mine. It was my go do load for 7mm mag with IMR-7828 up until they discontinued the solid base. I've taken dozens of deer with that combo. Alas, now I can't get 7828, but this Grand may be even better.
