I've got two. I haven't shot the 2nd one yet. The Creed was sighted in at 50yds with 2 shots, moved to 100yds, shot then adjusted. Shot 3 shot group and then for fun shot each gong from 200 thru 550. Point is - it responded to scope adjustments with precision. I've shot rocks out to 600 yds...
I went about this backwards. I decided I wanted a big 7. I went with the 28 Nosler. Started getting brass as I found it on sale. Have a few boxes of bullets, 175gn LRAB and Berger 195. Couple boxes of loaded Nosler ammo. I'm glad I waited on this since I was going to go with a Christensen...
Oh man ... I feel for you! I just had Lumbar Fusion #2. First in 2005 and then Aug of 2019. Rods, screws ... the works. I'll tell you that now I haven't been this "Pain Free" since I was 30 years old (25 years ago). Try to keep the attitude and don't give in to it. You can beat this. The...
I agree with the process grifmXC has described. Hence the engineering we benefited from with bullets the last few decades to control expansion and shedding weight. This so that we maintain penetration with out just simply adding weight up front from the start. Some components of the physics...
We finished out Whitetail and Elk seasons with Muzzleloading. I did not pull the trigger at all this season, that's a first !! My hunting buddy had what I can only guess was "Bad" Powder. When he shot at a Cow Elk it sounded like a long phizztboomish. Ha- I don't know how to even describe it...
I picked up a Ridgeline in the 6.5 Creed. I put a Razor LH 3x15 on it. I already had a 6.5x284 Norma in a Savage 116 but figured I try the Creed. I have dies and brass for both. Now for the boring part:
At the range - 50yds bore sighted and took a shot. 1.5" high and right. Shot again and...
I used to own only Leupolds back in the 80's thru early 2000's. Every VariX-II and newer versions of the same would drift and required me to verify ZERO and adj. Some of the VXIII. Used CS couple of times with NO complaints back then. I still own a Leupold VX2 on a Savage 99 but have since...
I agree with the above response. I load (past and present) with this bullet in different rifles and have been as close as .025" and as far as .125" I consider the 100gn PT as a Hunting bullet and am not trying to get a 5 shot group under a dime. If I'm 3 shots in 1" I'm good for how we are...
I used a 270 WSM for 10 years in a Sako 75 Finnlight. I loaded the 140AB and the 150BT. I moved on also to the 300 WSM in a Sako 85 Finnlight. Only cause this is my "Elk" carry rifle. I'm loading 180PT in it.
For the 270 WSM, I would recommend the 140AB if Elk are in the plans. If not use...
My QL does not have the Alliant 2000MR as a powder option. I have installed the latest update.
Maybe it is there under a different name?
I've been curious about the very same thing.
I'll get a pic of both together when the sight gets here later this week.
I understand and fully agree that practice with the 10mm from all possible shooting positions thru out the the year will still be maintained. The 9mm is for the additional hundreds of rounds to be fired.
I have used the Talley 2 piece integral base ring set off/on for years. NO complaints here. If I don't have a Warne set on the rifle it's the Talley set.
