Charlie, I had about 375# of processed meat, shipped in eight 50# Styrofoam boxes. IIRC, the processing-plant in Chama shipped lots of frozen-meat boxes every day of the season, all across the country, so maybe they had a deal with UPS-AIR. It worked-out for me as I went on to Wyoming for...
Several years ago, while hunting in the west, I was shown some wolf tracking-collars, hanging on a highway R/W fence. Not all the locals were happy with the wolf release program.
I like the straight eye-piece models for hunting from a window-mount on the truck. But bench-scopes are pretty nice angled, just sayin'.
I'll let you spend your $$$ on a brand of your liking :? .
I anneal case-necks about every 2-3 years, to keep case as they were when new. Rifles have a tendency to stay "zeroed" and groups remain the same as in the past.
YMMV,
Pretty common stuff today, with the 130 PTs going into 3/4" @ 100 meters and the 140 ABs clustering around an inch. One promising group with the 130 PTs was 65.0/ IMR 7828. WLRM primers and new Nosler cases. First two went in the same hole, #3 about 3/8" away. Of note, smallest groups, no...
Its 30* this morning and no wind, so I'll be at the rifle range shortly. Good day to test some loads thru the new .270 wsm 70 Winchester.
Report to follow, hopefully.
My oldest grandson loves his .243 youth Remington rifle. He's not quite ready for an elk hunt yet, but its enough rifle for white-tail deer. The girls haven't made up their minds (no surprise there) for the most part. The oldest has a very nice Kimber Montana rifle, but that's "her" way.
I'm not one for using factory ammo, but I do have a couple of boxes handy. They (Federal) have loaded their bullets with 0.120" distance from engaging the lands. More than I ever thought, so if the wind ever dies down, then I'll report on their ammo. I have several hand loads ready for testing...
Its to be assumed that you've looked for loose screws, etc. as a go-over on the rifle. Some times even changing lots of the same powder can result in group sizes and pressure changes. And inserting a pistol-primer for a LR primer does wonders for groups.
Just guessin' ya know,
