Nikon Monarch 5s, 10x42, ED glass, etc, $325. Have a pair, carry in the truck all the time. Dropped out the door, to the floor, etc, nice. It always pays to upgrade anytime you can!

My Winchester EW is not a light wt. mountain rifle @ a little over 8#. The magazine length is sufficient as my loaded length gives 1/4" groups at 100 yds with 130 and 140 gr. AB bullets. Also with some other brands of bullets. If you might fire this rifle, you would have no problem making a...
Years ago I had a "water-proof" tent that got to leaking. I got a can of waterproofing spray and applied it as instructed; worked great. So I even used it on leather boots, cotton gloves, etc. It was not the best, but it sure helped. Shop around, there's several types of water-proofing stuff out...
When the grandson was 10, we started him in the Remington youth rifle in 243, shooting from the bench with gramp's reduced handloads. Moved him up to 100 gr. factory loads at 11-12 , and now at 14 is "borrowing" gramp's .270 for all his shooting. He'll be an adult 'fore we know it, good boy!

Its always good to get to hunt with family and friends.
Watched a 6x6 elk one morning, over the fence, never got the shot and did not see him again. Yup, it happens,

I have an older 77 Ruger with those big ol' Ruger rings on it. I am planning to revise the ring system with another style of rings and bases, but so far the GSs have told me theres not much out there to replace them. We'll see,

For those not owning a #1 and wish to check it out from the beginning, get a copy of
Ruger No. 1, by J.D. Clayton. I got an autographed issue in 1983. I don't know how many copies were printed, but I have not seen but one other copy. There's about 190 pages of everything you always wanted to...
Can any of the fired cases be chambered with out any sizing? Looking for a large chamber. I want cases sized just enough where the loaded round can be felt entering the chamber as the bolt is closed down. And, not all case lube is equal!
Best of luck,
Very nice, Guy.
I still like many of the older Ruger singles and bolt-guns. Over the years they have served me well, never failing to get the job done!
