This rifle has the Backcountry mounts on it with a 40mm objective/1 inch tube scope in them.

Don't discount aluminum just because it isn't as strong as steel. The Backcountries are fantastic mounts (and all that I'll use if I can). What I'd worry more about is if you even have the length on the scope tube for mounting it on the long Mark V action with the backcountries.

Those are just some factory trophy grade 140gr ABs. I’ll build up a load for this season with 120gr ttsx and H100V if I get the opportunity

When I had my tack driving 6.5 Grendel DMR that I built, I used CFE223. My longest shot on steel was at 1000 with that little thing. Great cartridge.
