.303,150 gr Speer Hot Core vs water jugs

After seeing the tests from last weekend, my son wanted in on the action  He wanted to test his British .303, so here`s the low down... The shot was @ 15yds, and the bullet came to rest in the 4th jug. The bullet was traveling @ about 2700fps, and finished @48.5 grs. It lost it`s core...

    117gr Hornady Interlock

My youngest son wanted to give this water jug test a try, so we took my 25-06 and his British .303 out for some fun...... My son shot the first bullet and I shot the second bullet. The shot was @about 15yds, and the impact velocity was 3100 fps. Both bullets came to rest in the 4th jugs, so I...

    95gr NBT vs water jugs

Well thanks guys, glad you guys liked the test. I was really pleased with the results, especially considering the impact velocity. Most of the shots we get are usually pretty short, so I figured it was a good test for the little 95gr. Definitely boosts the confidence in this bullet.

    95gr NBT vs water jugs

The last couple weeks I`ve been working up loads with this bullet for my son`s R700, .243 as well as for my Savage 110, .243. We have both guns shooting well @ 100yds.so I thought I would test the bullet itself...... The shot was @ 15yds with an impact velocity of a little over 2900 fps. I...

    25/06 Ballistic Tip Loads

My rifle really digs R22 with 115gr NBT, 117gr btsp Hornady and the 100gr NBT. I`ve been told that Retumbo is another good choice for the 115 gr & up. When I get a chance I`m planning to give the Retumbo a try.

Where do you stay when you hunt & fish?

When i was younger, we used to camp when we were hunting. Now most of the timber companies don`t allow it, so i usually drive from home. Sorry no pic`s.

    Fall plans?

Couldn`t agree more about the youth antlerless tags. Yes, we will be hunting blacktail. I`d like to make a trip to your side of the mountains for mulies, however, with the time constraints of school i don`t think it`s going to happen. Good luck to you guys too, I look forward to the stories...
