    Working with Reasonable Priced Supplies

I doubt it’s temperature stabile. Group some of those you loaded and see what they do when it’s 80-85 degrees out. Can play from there. Good luck.

    Tubbs Final Finish

If you re going to use all the number 1 compound I d forewarn you that those will lengthen your throat probably more than the other 4 grits. If your rifle is shooting satisfactory accuracy wise Tubbs instructions will tell you to use grits 2 through 5. Those will smooth it up and reduce copper...

    Tubbs Final Finish

I ve done a good dozen rifles with SSS (Tubbs) Final Finish. I only use it on factory barrels like Rem 700 s, Weatherby Vanguards, etc. I ll get a new rifle, clean it bare, no copper, carbon or anything. I will typically fire 1/2 of the bullets (5) of grits 2-5. I ll sometimes do 6-7 of #4 and...

    QL for 257 Weatherby

    QL - 22 GT

Scotty, just bought the 6GT set from Hornady. Using the F/L die only for shoulder bump and using a 223 Lee Collet die to neck size. Haven’t had to run through shoulder bump yet, 3 firings. We shortened the 223 collet, I forget how much without checking drawing but believe it was either .100 or...

    QL - 22 GT

Mike, thank you for QL projections! The IMR4831 is pretty close to what my actuals are. 35 grs which is mild pressure wise is running 3075 in my 27” Lilja 8 twt barrel. Adjusting 30 fps off the QL 28” barrel prediction is in that area. The case capacity is very similar to a 22-250 so makes...

    QL - 22 GT

Scotty, agree with you. We ve got 4 of these rifles built (4 guys) and have found good loads and have in excess of 1000 rounds down range. My hope was that it was in the QL calculator to see what it forecasted for pressure. Since it’s Alpha Brass produced for GAP and small primer, really hard...

    300WM 180 NBT with IMR4831

I ve had good success with both R22 and IMR4831 in my 300. 75 grs of R22 is a proven load in many 300 s with a 180 gr bullet. Somewhere around 72-73 grs of IMR4831 should do well also. Start lower as these are both full power loads so you want to see what your gun likes and tolerates.

    QL - 22 GT

Measured a 22-250 case vs a 22 GT and only 2-3 tenths less capacity. Could call it a half grain to be conservative. Thx in advance for help!!

    QL - 22 GT

Did some research and 22 GT has a couple grains more capacity that a Dasher and a wee bit less than a standard 22-250. Hopefully this helps

    QL - 22 GT

Could someone run a QL on a 22 GT ? Don’t know if brass capacity is available but I could measure some or find a web based estimate if needed. Here’s basic info: 22 GT (necked down 6 GT) Small rifle primer 2.520 OAL 88 gr Eldm 27” barrel Would like to run for IMR4831 and R23. Go to 64000 psi...
