G'Day Fella's,
CDNhunter, thats very impressive shooting, well done.
Christensen do know how to make a nice and accurate rifle.
Here's an uncommon one in 9.3x62 Mauser, I recently took possession of.
Seasons Greetings

G'Day Fella's,
I finally remembered to weigh the 7.62x39 Howa Mini.
It came in at 5 3/4 pound or 2.6 Kgs.
This is a bare rifle with the bolt and magazine in place but an empty magazine.
Hope you all had a Great Christmas.

G'Day Fella's,
Europe, I generally buy firearms (to keep for myself), because I really want them (I do have a unfilled Bucket List, with a list of one of every J.M.Browning's designs and others on it).
Occasionally, I will buy or keep a trade firearm for myself, if it is something special.
I...
G'Day Fella's,
Wisconsin Teacher, iirc, they do chamber it for the .204 Ruger?
Thank You JD338.
FYI, here is an image of some of the bullets I want to try in this same 7.62x39.
The bullets on the Left, are 0.310", .311", .312" and the ones on the Right, are all 0.308".
Doh!

G'Day Fella's,
Thank You for your kind comments.
I'll report back, once I have a scope mounted and shot some groups.
Elkman, the rubber band marks the 16 1/2" mark of the barrel.
Also, yes there a Tens of THOUSANDS of rounds of Chinese, ex-military ammo, still available here (at one time, pre...
G'Day Fella's,
For a few years now, I have had a Norinco M701, bolt action (a Chinese copy of Pre 64 Winchester M70), in 7.62x39.
The main reason I purchased this rifle, was the distinct lack of any rifles in this calibre in Australia, since the 1996 By Back (Confiscation/Theft) scheme.
It has...
G'Day Fella's,
Wincheringen, Thank You for your kind comments. Yes I like my Leica's as well.
Longrangehunter, Thank You also for your kind comments!
I have also had varying degrees of success with (in this case) Woodleigh VLD machined Brass bullets as well.
I have tried Moly and HBN coating...
G'Day Fella's,
Sounds like a great idea Hodgeman!
The .35 Whelen is a real power house of a cartridge but without the brutal recoil of some others.
Whilst I don't own a .35 Whelen, I do own a couple of .350 Rem Mag (which is a Blood Brother to the Whelen), and whilst it has it's limitations...
G'Day Fella's,
Thats what it's all about Guy!
Go shoot a group or Deck something, then come back here and tell us all about it, please.
Avagreatweekendeh!

G'Day Fella's,
Sorry to hear about this, they really are a modern Classic!
Luckily I now have one, so apart from it not being in 7x57 (its a .308 Win), I'm content.

G'Day Fella's,
When I first purchased the Nightforce scope for this rifle, I also got their Medium rings and and an ADI (Angle Degree Indicator), as well.
When I first installed the scope, all was good but when I tried to install the ADI, I found that it interfered on, or contacted the scope's...
G'Day Fella's,
LOL! (crickets), bbearhntr!
And as Truck Driver said re; .25-06, 6.5-06, .270!
Wisconsinteacher, the 6.5-06 is a cartridge, that I thought long and hard over.
Look forward to reading about this project!
