I see from these data that I was too low on powder on my first attempt....
21.5 with Nosler BT55....
Gonna load up higher next time !

For a .222 Remington - 1 in 14" - 20" barrel length and HOGDGON H322 powder...
...Is there Anyone who can please run some data for the following bullets :
- Sierra SPT 50 grs. (code 1330) - (G1 B.C. 0,222)
- Nosler 55 grs. Ballistic Tip (G1 B.C. 0,267)
- Hornady 52 grs. A-MAX (G1 B.C...
That is some impressive group !
What bullet jump did you use ?

I have found a couple of loads that seem to work quite well, but need more testing...
This is a four shot group at 328 yds. : http://i.imgur.com/T3ZMUmF.jpg
It would have been good if I didn't pull the fourth shot ! (the...
Well, I finally decided and went with the .300 Win.Mag.
8x68S was really intriguing and had a thought at the 300 Blaser Mag as well....
Strong points that made me choose that caliber were :
- Wide availability of reloading components (not only bullets, but especially brass). With both the...
After considering a few options (included a new rifle…) I have come to the conclusion that the best option for my case would be to get another barrel (the third one…) for my Rifle.
I’ve had this rifle for a while.
It is a hunting super lightweight single shot break open, that allows barrel...
Hi Folks,
does anyone have some loads for this caliber, using Viht.N160, IMR4350 or H1000 powders, with 165 and 180 grs. bullets ?
OAL is "unlimited", as rounds won't be going through the mag....but single fed.
Thanks
JM

I'd be grateful if Someone could run QL for the above caliber (Rimmed version), in a 24", 1:8" twist barrel, with Hornady 140 grs. A-MAX bullet and the following powders :
- Norma 204
- Vihtavuori N550
- Vihtavuori N160
Thanks ! (y)

Nice groups Bruce ! (y)
I've had good results in my rifle (20" 1:14" barrel) with 55 grs. Nosler BT and also with Sierra Varminter SPT50 (1330).
I might get back to BT50, as the 55's are a bit "stretched" when shooting longer ranges.
Lately, I'm enjoying shooting Sierra BlitzKing 40 grains...
What bullet weight do you believe to be the "Jack of all trades" for the .308 ? 165/168 or 180's ?
Surely the 165 Partition is an awesome pill.....
Anyone has experience with 168 A-max or 165 Swift Scirocco ?
I was considering them particularly for long shots on Deer sized game...

Lots of good info Guys.
Building a stronger confidence in this caliber.
Keeping in mind good bullet placement, I think it'll do the job I'm gonna ask.
As some of you pointed out, superb accuracy fills some lack of horse power, if any....
Thank you all Guys for your thoughts and experiences on this topic.
To sum it all up, I think I can consider the 308 a capable hunting cartridge for Elk up to 300 yards, providing a "premier" (tough) bullet is used, possibly in the 165/180 grain range.
For shots to be taken at much further...
Hi Folks,
how would you see this caliber performing on the big Elk ?
Is there Any of you Guys who uses it ? ....what results ?
I know there are better calibers out there for this type of game...but...
...if one has already a rifle chambered in 308....does it really need to upgrade or the...
Europe,
I've looked into the 7 Blaser as, to me, it seems one of the most "balanced" magnum commercially available in the 7 mm. class.
Based on the (few) data I have so far, I'd put it in-between the 7 SAUM and the 7 REM.MAG.
I am not looking for the fastest 7 mm. on Earth.
There are many faster...
Actually, the exact barrel length would be 58 cm. (22,8").
The idea of the shorter barrel is to have a handier rifle along with cutting off some weight (0,75" muzzle OD).
300 WSM might be able to handle this length, while for .300 WIN wouldn't be too wise, I suppose.
I've noticed that Vithavuori...
