OK. So I have a 303 British #4 Mark 1 which is sporterized.
My wife took it on her doe hunt this year. It came back with a couple of dings and scratches that were not there before. Also, it came back minus 1 swing swivel stud. I asked her what happened and she said it just fell out... uh huh...
Vortex will be on top of my next rifle...whenever that it is. I love them. The warranty is basically the same as Leupold...no questions asked.
I was seriously considering the Viper HS-T 4-16x44 for my .308 that I sold... :-(
"So attuned to the movements of hunters are the bears that scientists believe they may even listen for the sound of gunshots, knowing that they signal a meal to be scavenged"
I know of a few people around here that have had that happen to them. It's the local dinner bell.
I just recently came to the Nosler side and have gone up to the 200 grain PT's. I am just loading up some rounds to start the ladder tests in a few weeks here. I will be using H4831SC.
I had done some tests before however had to readjust a bunch of things and since have lost the sweet spot...
Nice. I have never hunted pheasants, but would love to one day. I was tracking a doe I shot one year through a grassy field that was about 3' high of vegetation. One pheasant came out of the grass and scared the living daylights out of me! LOL.
Nice pictures Guy. Thanks for the post.
Like others have said here, if you are a hunter or fisher you know it's not always about getting the quarry but the adventure along the way.
