The Vortex thread got me thinking again.
What do most use for their target rifles? MOA's or MRAD's? Is there a benefit to either or is it just personal preference?
I get the FFP vs SFP thing, just have yet to decide on what I would want in a range finding optic.
Google Vortex Reviews. The guys that own them, love em. Great quality glass. Great warranty too if you need it. I was talking with my gun shop the other day who just started selling them. He was saying not as good of glass as Leupold, however they are quite comparable.
Interesting, here is what Barnes says...
Can I expect copper fouling when using TSX Bullets?
"Because of mutiple grooves machined into the shanks of Triple-Shock bullets, less bullet area comes in contact with the bore. This reduces pressures and virtually eliminates copper fouling"...
Just picked up my bullet comparator. Told the wife that this, a can of powder and a screamin deal on an ebay fly line is my father's day present. She came back with, "I hate it when you buy your own gifts". I just came back with..."well then I get what I want".

I got Varget for me, H4350 and IMR XBR8208 for Nosler06.
I recently stocked up on H4831SC from Kelowna about a month ago. So hopefully will be set for awhile.
Ridegrunner665, I have never had anything like this happen to me so I can only imagine going through this. I know I would be beyond p'oed.
I hope things work out although it won't be your original firearm.
Nothing like the good ole internet to discourage others from doing business there. Good...
Hallelujah! Just went to the local gun store today. "Oh by the way, we just got 400 lbs of powder"...
I almost fell over and fainted. Got Nosler06 and myself some canisters. If I had more funds I'd get more, but I am officially tapped out.
I don't know about the RL powders...I guess I...
yes, and from experience...don't take the little orange safety tab off for quick deployment. We were in a grumpy bear area about 11 years ago (I was young and dumb). I took the safety off and put it into my cargo pants pocket. We had to go over this little foot bridge which was no wider than...
Thanks for that, Guy.
I lived in the Central Interior of BC and at that time came across a few bears. I then moved to the Coast and came across more black bears than I remembered in the Interior. Maybe I was just too young and not looking. I became a little more bear aware in the Coast as we...
Taking the dies apart would annoy me to no end. I started out using probably what everyone or almost everyone used, RCBS case lube. Nosler06 put me onto the Hornady OneShot and I haven't looked back.
