for the hogs/pigs i've shot they were with fmj's. 1 shot with m193's. i don't hunt, but do eradicate as many of those as i can. shot a few with m80 also w/o issue, drt. been killing as many as i can for 45 years.
there are post64 bottom metals out there. screw spacing being the biggest deal. also 1 has 2 screws and the other uses 3. i think pt&g makes a bottom metal for the use of dbm's, but haven't found out for which model. i've been trying to find out as to convert my post64 264wm to dbm and...
i don't see how it could being the bicep? are you asking because of recoil or carry weight? unless the "shock" of the recoil activates/irritates the issue, then yes. i'll ask my science kid. he doesn't shoot as much as i do, but may have the logistics of it?
my 7saum is gtg! the steel case should be an easy button as it might not stretch as much or not at all and if that's the case it wouldn't seal like brass does or made for? i use semi-autos mainly and wouldn't want ant full steel cased ammo in any of my firearms. ba's would be fine
I have tungsten in my m/p's, but not in any of my Glock's. I'll try a steel in the 226, but don't think there's a tungsten option? All of my Glock's have the gen3 conversion for the gen4 's. I don't run heavy springs as all have eithera ported barrel or a brake. So, I use lighter...
i fell into the 6.5manbun only cause it's a 26cal AND i didn't know there was a 260rem ar barrel. i own very few ba's (7 iirc) and only in long action magnums. if it fits into a short action and smaller i'm putting it into an ar!
i haven't loaded any of my 2 260rem's yet, but have used sierra 120sp and 140 sbt's in 264wm (mainly the 140's) with either imr's in 4831 and 4320. my fanness (yes it's a word;)) have grown from my lonely 264wm in '76 to 4 more cartridges over the last 8 years (264gren, 260rem, 264creed and...
i use many different powders as i load 135, 150, 155, 165 and seldom for 180's. longshot, blue dot, hs6, be86, 3n37, silhouette, #9, power pistol and some 800-x. depends on brands, weights and types of bullets (fmj, hp, xtp, v-crown, gold dot, etc). whether i'm shooting g20, g40, m/p 4"...
the easiest way to reduce muzzle flash is to reduce muzzle exit pressure. faster burning powders will yield lower case volume also. this is where the n100 series comes into play.........best of both worlds + reduced flame temp.
264wm has been my preference since '76 (11 years old) and 38 or 39 years later went with 300wm. i only have 2 short mags (6.5prc & 7saum) which are in AR's. you CAN tune a lot of recoil OUT (felt or not) in that platform which makes them great to shoot! you asked about 2 different...
