The 21 is an over-all up grade from the 48; trigger tech trigger, barrel, action and stock. That being said the mdl 48 is no slouch. Most would rate it as a very fine rifle. Likely good enough that 9/10 shooters could not do better with a different rifle.

Actually it was a quick draw with my camera phone. I had just pulled up to the gate, they were just out of sight watering, stepped into view and were gone. It would have been a pretty quick shot on the raghorn if it had been rifle season.
