    Just a buck.

Nice!!! Very cool to take your Dad’s gun out. Plus you put Some meat in the freezer! Making me a little jealous, may have to plan something for my .348 again.

    If you were gunna

Several years ago some local guys built some guns on Garands. The gunsmith passed away but my buddy was working with him and has a Garand in .458 Win Mag.

    More 348 work.

Got out to the garage. I measured 1/2 dozen and they were all at 1.030. Note the price you can barely make out at the nose of the bullet.

    If you were gunna

I think I’d take a .35 Whelen and neck it down to .30 cal shooting a 165 to 180 grain bullet. I think that would be just about the ticket for almost all North American big game…just a thought🤔🤔🤔

    300 WSM Quality Issues

Have you tried measuring the rest of the ammo in the box to see if it’s all a bit oversized?

    More 348 work.

I had to end my Montana trip a bit early when my back decided to go out so I’ve been shuffling around the house all week and haven’t made it out to the garage. I’ll have to get out there and measure them. I’m sure they’re the same length. Grandad had a .348 up in Alaska. He sold it to a...

    More 348 work.

Several years ago I picked up a couple hundred of the Speer 220 grain bullets for my .348. I posted it somewhere and I think the consensus was they had not been made since the 60’s or 70’s. I think I even called Speer trying to see if they had any load data in the archives. One of these...

Ultimate Reloader needs another Camera/Video guy...

Well…I am close to retirement and this could be the gig. But if taking a picture of me doesn’t break the camera, me running one probably would🥴🥴🥴

    30-06 Brush Gun?

There was a day not too long ago that I said everyone should have an ‘06 in the safe. You could probably find a box of shells in most gas stations in the smaller western towns. Such a versatile cartridge whether you hand loaded or not. Really a one gun to do all your big game hunting. I...

    NGD (New Gun Day)!!!

I had one X-bolt in .280 Remington that shot lights out. Like an idiot I traded it to a buddy for a Winchester model 70 in .280. That rifle was finicky and went down the road, while he still has the X-bolt. I really like the slimmer lines of the Leupold scopes and think they look good on...

    It's Whelen Time

When I picked mine up I grabbed some Speer 250’s. It shot so well I’ve never experimented with anything else until SPS had some 250 Partitions for sale. They shot equally as well so I loaded up and never looked back. My buddy bought a Springfield action from me and had it barreled for the...
