I can second his recommendation on .050 off the lands. I was always shown to be close and that .030 was very max, until I came here. I shortened my CBTO and went with 50 off with great results. I am going to go back to some other rounds I have established and try this longer jump on them as...
I love my 35 Rem. My great grand pap hunted with one and that was what started the drive to find one. For deer hunting in the woods, it's a great caliber!
I'm very interested to see hear what your thoughts are after checking your barrel and cleaning. I'm really interested in these, just haven't wanted to take the dive on the supposed abuse they impose on your barrel. Without that, i would have been shooting them already. I love My accubonds...
I'm very impressed with your speeds in that 300 win mag. The accuracy looks great with that load too. What are your thoughts on the TTSX? I've heard so many mixed answers on mono bullets. They all seem to shoot great and do well with game, I'm just afraid of the rumors.. what they do to the...
They are, and they aren't as slow as they used to be haha. The county fair is going on this week as well, so it has brought out all the best people and brought them here haha.
I did those things well before posting. We think alike haha. I too use blue loctite on all those critical fasteners.
I am always suspect of assembled components that I didn't assemble and I am double suspect of the ones I did do haha. I had my wife tap and move the scope while I looked down...
I know this thread is older, but my experiences mirror yours. My groups/POI seem to change in the heat more than anything. From 75--5 F i see little to no noticeable differences. I even use some ball powders in my loads, like for my daughters 7-08. I too, do not shoot at great distances.. at...
I can see why a rifle would be 10 times easier for sure. I'll get lots of practice in with them before I venture to make shots like you guys are with these pistols.
Hi and welcome. I just had a lot of fun with a 25-06. There are tons of guys here, very knowledgeable and experienced with this round. They got amazing results out of their guns as well. For me, I will let them give you detailed feedback as they are better suited than myself. I will say the...
They are a great tool to have for sure. The weight savings from the standard to the carbon is pretty good, but in all honestly I don't know if the added cost makes sense. I'm glad I have them, especially on days we walk a lot but I was certainly questioning it when I got them haha.
I never knew this about Christensen. They are hands down one of my favorite off the shelf rifles. I have 5 of them in total and all are amazing guns. Maybe I'm lucky??
6.5 PRC FFT, super lightweight and a great shooter!
300 wsm Ridgeline - It shoots anything I feed it and well, we call it...
I run the nickel covered jags from Tipton and have no worries. I like Butch's solvent and the old jags turned my patches solid blue every time. So when i ran my borescope down the barrel it was always in my mind that I didn't get it all lol
Wife counted my levers, she came up with 38. It honestly feels like I have more than that though. It may take me some time to list them all out because I need to go gun for gun and check them haha. I’ll post a couple pictures though. Some I took, some I already had. Some I’ve modified to what...
I’ll also chime in on the death grip tripod. I got a set for my wife and daughter. It was a major improvement over the trigger monopod I had for stability. I bought a standard set then got the carbon set because I’m the one carrying them and wanted the weight savings. They aren’t heavy, but...
