55 grains of IMR4350 or 59 grains of H4831 and basically any good 130 grain bullet have always cooked well for me in the good ol’ .270! A Model 70 Featherweight in .270 WCF flinging 130 grain bullets is a match made in heaven. Ol’ Cactus Jack would be proud!

I don’t know why Douglas isn’t more popular honestly. We have at least a dozen rifles with Douglas barrels in our immediate circle of family and friends. All of them, without variance, shoot like this!

This group was shot with my old standby load: 165 grain Nosler AccuBond - 3.320” OAL 56 grs of IMR-4350 Winchester Large Rifle Primer 2850 fps in both my M70’s Its the easy button. Shoots great in every rifle I have fired it in. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
