When they were here in Montana I went down and had a gentlemen show me around the business and the steps the rifles went through. It was very interesting and educational to actually see what goes into making a Cooper rifle. I also got to drool over a few models and it sure seems like they put...
I guess I am clueless. Is there a sub Forum for Politics. I would have no reason why that should be necessary. This is a hunting, fishing, trapping, reloading, shooting site for us to enjoy and share with each other.
I think you will really like the 325 WSM. I loaded for a good friend who had one and he sure killed a lot of elk with it. I was surprised at how mild the recoil actually felt. It just didn't seem to match the cartridge and what I expected.
Beautiful rifle. Love the laminate stock. Attractive, strong, and stable. Awesome cartridge also. 110 gr. Accubonds and 120 gr. Partitions both should shoot very well and be death on critters.
I like your line of thinking. A 338-06 AI should be a dandy cartridge for everything! A 200 gr. Accubond or E-tip should work great. Best of luck and we need to see some pictures of the rifle when it comes home!
I agree with you using the belt system when you need knives sharpened quickly so you can get back to work. That would be the best system for that use of the fillet knives for sure. The guide systems are slower to use absolutely. A knife I have put a proper edge on when I think it needs...
It's not as fancy but I use the Lansky guide rod system with the Super C Clamp which makes it a lot easier and safer to sharpen blades. The Super C Clamp can be attached to a table, bench, or just about anyplace in a few seconds. I have had no complaints from folks I sharpen knives for as...
I had two boxes (100 rounds of brass) of Winchester brass for my 6mm Remington a while back. Out of 100, there were about 26 if I recall that looked similar.
Birchwood Casey Barricade sprayed on a couple patches and pushed through the bore is what I have been doing for years now. Usually just a couple dry clean patches I run through it before I use it shooting again after taking it out of storage.
CZ Model 455: I purchased one of these a few years ago and really like a lot. It's accurate and a very attractive rifle too. It has a nice walnut stock and I put a 2x7 Leupold rimfire scope on it.
In two 30-06 rifles I have owned, a Remington 700 and a Ruger 1B, both have really liked IMR4350. The Accubonds were not out yet when I owned the Remington 700, but the Ruger really likes both the 165 gr. Partition and the 165 gr. Accubond. Seems like 56-58 grs. of IMR4350 is kind of a sweet...
Great cartridge and great bullet. Should your rifle for some odd/unknown/unheard of reason not like shooting the Accubonds, a 160 gr. Partition would be just perfect!
