    Barrel Cleaning Products

I used Hoppes, Butch Bore Shine, Wipe Out foam and some Sweets for many years before I settled with Bore Tech products, I currently use Eliminator for normal cleaning, Carbon Remover for tougher carbon and Copper Remover for copper. I don't really need to vigorously clean my bores unless...

    New Here

Good to hear you a 308 / 6.5 Creed fan as well, I love my .308 GAP and 6.5 Creed. Don't miss out on the 6.5 x 284 as well, they are sweet. Easy to find killers loads for them too! I just need a 30-06 or the wildcats 06 in my arsenal and don't get me started yet. 😁

    6.5 Creedmoor blood trails ?

I never had any issues finding blood trails with the 6.5 Creedmoor. I have used 120 grain Ballistic Tips, 143 ELD-X and the 147 ELDM, all deer dropped fast and a few have run off with double lung shots, and never went far. Blood trails were good, and I have used the 178 ELDM with my .308, and...

Why No Love for The .308 Winchester

I love my GA Precision 308 Crusader, shoots like a dream. Currently using 178 ELD-M with 43.8 grains of Varget, a hair over 2750 fps. I was banging 8 inch steel at 800 yards, love hearing the ding a few seconds after the hit. The 178 ELDM is deadly on whitetails, never went far with pass...

    Trimmer opinion/help...

I never liked the pilots making groove marks on the inside of the case necks either, nor cranking. I went with the Giraud and its fast and I can do a hundred cases in less than 15 minutes. A Sinlclair Wilson trimmer is nice where you do not need to use pilots.

    28 Nosler Sanity Check Please

Wow, 3300 plus fps with a 175 mono. That is some insane speed. Half an inch @ 100 is a good load. How far off the lands are you seating those monos? Any pressure signs on the head of the brass if I may ask?

    Hydralic Dies

I never tried hydro forming, I have read that hydroforming brass leaves a more rounder edge on the body / shoulder junction compared to a sharper edge when fired in a rifle chamber. After hydroforming, you would need to final fireform in a rifle chamber to sharpen the edges of the body /...

    ****UPDATE*****anyone using these from Redding?

I have yet to buy those Redding competition shellholders, I always have bumped them precisely at .0015' - .002". Reloaders have been happy with these shellholders. Thanks for the reminder. These helps when you have multiple rifles of the same caliber.

    6.5 CM light loads

Soft reduced loads at the 2800 fps range is perfect with the 120 Ballistic Tips. I was running 3,025 -3,050 fps with the 120's with H4350 in the Creed. Accuracy nodes according to Barrel Optimal Time chart shows nodes with 22 inch barrel is at 2700 ish fps at 1.201 milliseconds and 2800 ish fps...

Testing reloads for acceptable-desired Powder Charge Weight

True, I also look at a certain bullet weight, and if there are no data for that weight, example is 130 grain 6.5 mm, I go to the next bullet weight which is 140 grain 6.5 mm and I look at the mid charge for that weight, and its safe to use that weight for the 130 grain weight as a starting point...

    New family member

That is a very nice piece. I regret selling my 6 inch .41 Magnum Classic Hunter SS. I would love a .357 Python with a 4 inch barrel. Maybe one day,,,,or maybe get a shorter barrel .41 Magnum. 🤔

    Sighting in for different bullets

Steve, not to hijack your thread but I remembered a time back in the 1990's when I hunted on my grandpa's ranch, ( sadly it was acquired by Fish and Wildlife, it was sell or eminent domain ) , for hogs and some long range coyote potshots with my Sako M995 and topped with a Leupold. I was...

    Sighting in for different bullets

I would do one bullet for both jobs, its less worry and headaches. I won't mind using an elk bullet on a deer. The Partition will do the job nicely. The Accubond is a great bullet as well.

If you lived a lot closer, I would help you out buddy. You probably would get me hooked on your long range pistol grip rigs.
