The only calibers I dont have, between 17 and 45, are 17, 20, 9.3, and 423. I do have a 8x68 but havent ever shot it. I can see myself picking up a 17 of some flavor, most likely a 17HMR, and building a 404 Jeffrey if I go back to Africa for buffalo. I doubt I'd build or buy a 20 or 9.3.
The list is pretty long and hopefully I can remember them all.

The 280 Ackley is longer than a 30-06. Peterson makes good 280 AI brass. You could ream out a Redding type S die for sizing and a Hornady seater or a match grade Hornady 280AI set. Swap the seating insert to the caliber of choice and bore out the bushing die for the larger caliber. Not sure how...
Wolves e
Wolves easily kill deer too. In one spot I use to hunt, and the place I killed my first wolf, the wolves killed or ran off all the elk and then started into the deer. It was pretty easy to tell by the hair in their scat. The deer numbers plummeted too.
The problem is most of these people with the brilliant ideas don't have to live with them. That should be a requirement to any of these dumb ideas, you live with them too. I'd love to see wolves and grizzlies in NY and CA. Once they had to live with them they'd rethink their stupidness.
I've had good luck with Leica scopes over the years and bought a couple of these for my kids rifles. The reticles are a little busy but they make one more like the MOAR-T from NF too. I just wish they made them in 50mm...
The NX8's arent as clear as the VX6's, and are heavier but the turrets are way better. The Mark5's are built more like Nightforce scopes but only available in FFP. Honestly if Leupold made the VX6 with more than 10moa in the TMOA reticle I may not of bought any NX8's. It seems silly to not use...
My most memorable hunts recently were my boys first elk. My youngest was just this past season, a 4x4, and my oldest sons first was 3 years ago, a 5x6. My first elk was one I wont forget, a little spike bull, and my biggest buck, 33" wide, was pretty memorable. Having 3 generations shooting...
Those early BT's were wicked on rockchucks though. We use to shoot the .30 150's about 3600fps out of various long belted magnums, 30-8mm, 30-358STA, 308 Baer, etc. If you want to see a rockchuck fly 30+ feet in the air that was the ticket. We tried everything from .22's to 416 RUM's and that...
Mine is a long throated 300wsm. It's ability to run right with a 300wm/300prc, especially in shorter barrels, is pretty amazing and with less recoil too. Less recoil makes it more manageable to shoot in a light rifle as well. The accuracy has been proven for years in 1000 benchrest and the...
