My youngest brother still hunts elk with a Browning 06 I bought him 40 years ago. For as long as I remember I've been loading Rl 22 in that rifle. First with partitions and then Accubonds. He's been pretty effective on elk with it. 180s; the 06; and elk are a natural combination.
Have a great hunt.
Welcome aboard, been awhile since I’ve thought about scale. Worked my way through college cutting timber on the west side. Are you in the northwest?
Any way sure reads like something is loose on your rum, routine checks then try a TTSx or an Accubond. Good luck. Reading through again hard to...
Just a brief snippet on the news, folks from around the world who recall what the US did for them, are trying to send food/aid/ to the United States. I have not been able to confirm but if true that is remarkable.
Listened to the arguments before the court today. Fascinating stuff. I was really impressed by the lawyers (both sides) ability to answer questions from the court. Gotta give it to those guys, they are smart and quick.

The Supreme Court will hear arguments today. Perhaps the tariffs will go away. I do wish I had bought more hammers, but I did get a bunch of Accubonds and Ballistic tips over the summer. It’ll keep me going for a while.
I’ve used the light, easy to shoot, easy to load for excuse many times. Kinda how I started collecting Ruger #1 rifles. I own a .22-250 and a 204 then jump up to a 257 Roberts. Great joys to shoot. I’ve owned, as I recall 4, different #1 in 243, all of which went down the road.
I can’t help you...
I’ve been doing a lot of thinking on a perfect rifle set up. I was always enamored of the 264 winchester regardless its reputation as a barrel burner. My dad killed moose, deer, elk, grizz, caribou ( with at least one Quigley) and at least 1/2 dozen sheep with his. The 6.5 prc is essentially the...
