I suppose this is a dumb question on my part but I've read where folks have said, "load to .270 pressures in your .280 and you'll be ok" What does that mean exactly? If I am using a 140gr PT in my .280, do I use the load data of the 140gr PT in the .270?

Excellent post and suggestion, RR!! I've never shot off bipods attached to my rifle but I've been considering them. I currently use the 3 leg Stoney Point shooting sticks.

Just a +1 to the other posts. I've only had one rifle ever done and I honestly can't tell if it is any different or better than my factor rifles with no work done on it.
This is why I like the NF bullets but your previous experience with the 358 has me gunshy on spending that much money on their bullets. I have 150 210gr Partitions now so I suppose there is no real need for the NF bullets. These, of course, are for my 338-06.

I have always wanted a Yukon moose but the bear is cheaper and the "danger" and "carnivore" aspects add to the allure! I'm not sure I'll be able to pull off anything yet but I hope I get one shot to do the one big hunt whether it is bear...
