    It's getting a little ridiculous.

I might have dies without stems if you need any. If I recall correctly they are RCBS. Not sure what all is missing, bought them years ago for next to nothing, but I do know exactly where they are. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk

    200gr Nosler Ballistic Tip

They will, since the lead isn't bonded to the jacket. Just assuming they use the same jacket, just don't spend the time/money to bond the jacket to the core. All assumptions, so they very well could use a totally different jacket, I just wouldn't bet on that being the case. Sent from my XT1650...

    200gr Nosler Ballistic Tip

That was my thought exactly. 100 grain jacket is perfect. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk

    200gr Nosler Ballistic Tip

I got the NBTs from SPS, they just seem to be ones they hadn't been sent for Lubalox yet. I have a supply of 180, 200 and 225 Accubonds also, but I wanted something that will shed some weight for deer. If I ever get out west to hunt elk I will probably go Accubond over NBT but you never know...

    200gr Nosler Ballistic Tip

I was definitely surprised by the 50% weight in the jacket. Add in that these are essentially one holers and I should be good to take down anything in front of me. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk

    200gr Nosler Ballistic Tip

Went shooting today to finalize my load in my 338-06. H380 powder for 2778, four shot SD of 2.2, exceptional accuracy. It was about 45 at best, by far one of the warmer days we've had so I figured it's close to hunting season temps, figured I'd give it a go. Berm was frozen, found this sitting...

    6.5mm barrel blank

I was actually talking to the wife about it this morning. The newest rifle shooter has an article on the 6.5 PRC. She's given me the okay to get a suppressor this year though so that's first and foremost. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk

    6.5mm barrel blank

I've been keeping an eye on the PRC, just want to make sure it stays around. And I've looked hard at the WSM. I think PRC has an advantage just with lower priced brass. I might just have to order 50 pieces and a box of the 150s, seat a few and do it up in a Savage long action throated a bit...

    6.5mm barrel blank

So I picked up a 1 in 7" twist 6.5 barrel blank from X-Caliber, wondering what I should do with it. I have over 18 pounds of H1000 and no H4350, so I was hoping to stay in that wheel house. I'm leaning towards one of the 6.5 SAUM type rounds, probably would do prefit. I'm just trying to plan...

Favorite powder for .308WIN in a carbine barrel?

I actually just took this out yesterday in the low 40s. It was windy and had to walk there so no chrono. I only fired one three shot group of Hornady Interlock and Speer Hot Cor, everything else the same. I think with the Speer it will work and work well. It never gets old though, the Interlock...

    Bullet Coatings

I use HBN for my wife's 6mm BR. I barely ever clean the rifle, she shoots 3" groups at 450 yards, and I never really did load development. Went with a standard 6mm BR load that's not hard on the brass, and it shoots .3's consistently. It takes a bit of getting used to with coating the bullets...

    QL 338-06

Hey there. Just saw that Shooters Pro has 200gr ballistic tips, so I ordered a bunch. Trying to figure out what I should use. Any suggestions? RL17/15? CFE 223? IMR 4064? Any I haven't listed? I got respectable velocity and a flat spot with CFE and the 225 Deep Curl, going to start seating...

    I'm a progressive now

If you do start casting, look at NOE moulds. I bought several other brand moulds in the beginning, big quantity Lee ones were what I wanted, that way I could pump out several hundred per casting session, which is great for the price, but I don't touch them to much anymore. I use four cavity NOE...

    I'm a progressive now

I found after switching to the progressive for all pistol ammo, the next step was to cast my own bullets to shoot in even more volume. Moved last year, hadn't cast much but started to in the colder weather. I powder coat also, so no worries about anything changing with ammo that sits. Sent...

cleaning the action / hard to reach places

Which brake cleaner do you recommend? Or I suppose what do you stay away from? What additives should we avoid? And why? Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk

QL request, .223 & 70 gr RDF, Varget

I shoot them at a pedestrian 2850 with 23.0gr AR Comp. Single digit SD, 20" barrel, loaded 10k off the lands. They fly extremely well through the air. SHM Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk

Quickload question 5.56 help settle an argument

This is why flat spot load development is important. If you get .3-.5 grains where it's pretty flat in your rifle, then the +/-.1 of a grain doesn't matter much. Quickload will not account for finding such flat spots, it will simply stay in a quasi linear line, increasing velocity incrementally...

Favorite powder for .308WIN in a carbine barrel?

Just loaded up some 165s and MR2000 to try in the M88 with a 22" barrel to test once we get temperatures in the positives. Been a deep freeze up here lately, the highs getting in the mid single digits for the better part of a week now. Will report back once I see how it does. Sent from my...

    Winchester model 88

I've got some 165 soft points en route. Went with a flatbase and a BT just to see which it will prefer. Will be trying AR Comp first as I have plenty on hand, then will probably try RL15/4064 after if needed. CFE is always an option, but prefer a lower pressure powder. Sent from my XT1650...
