Not bad shooting from such an antiquated cartridge lacking all the "inherently accurate" updates of the cartridges of the last decade.
Right now I have mine set up with 212 ELD x at 2600 fps using Staball 6.5. Maybe for elk season. It really likes 150 and 180 BT's too with Imr 4350.
My father in laws ruger semi auto like the 240 XTP accuracy wise. Since they also are most accurate in my blackhawk, I'd start there. However if grizzly was a possibility I think I would find some 300 grain hard cast for a lever action
Rumor has it that IMR4227 is rebranded H4227 (which isn't on the current Hodgdon burn chart). I see some nice heavy loads for 38 special using H4227 and I have a couple of pounds of IMR 4227. Okay to use IMR for H data?

We spent a January week at Hart Mountain Antelope refuge, first three nights at their cabin doing day hikes and climbing/rappelling to get the high school youth trained for the cold. Then over several days hiked up one of the canyons to the hot springs, did a long overhanging rappel, climbed...
Came across these in my Dad's stuff. Thought I had found everything of his that seemed unique.
He took 30-40 brass and shortened and milled down the rim to fit 44 mag. Looks like #7 1/2 shot with a cardboard wad held in place by water glass.
Bullets can mean loaded cartridges to non pedants. Like a revolver can be a pistol. A clip can be a magazine.
Great opportunity to mansplain. (That means "Man explaining")
It's just a referee and is controlled by the head of the senate. The Republican head of the senate apparently wanted the rules they agreed to, followed.
Suppressors should be over the counter. It's a safety thing. If there is misuse then add penalties at a criminal or civil trial.
However, do the legislation right. Craft a good bill, use all the support available and get it done. It seems like there is as much support and momentum for things 2A...
