My buddy wants help developing a load for the 130 gr. TTSX. It will primarily be for mule deer and cow elk. Open to powders and any insight you may have used or recommend. I have used H4831 with great success in my 270’s. Thoughts?

We hunted Region H. It was loaded with hunters and fires this year. Got evacuated once. Only takes a couple points but in our case it took max effort to get these bucks. Super fun hunt tho!

This bullet is the 150 gr. BT (solid base boat tail, old version). This bullet hit the ribs about 5” behind the shoulder angling forward lodging in the off shoulder. Both bullets did massive damage and put the deer down quickly.

So this bullet is what is left of a 130 gr BT that my son used to kill his deer. It center punched the front leg bone going in (about 1” diameter) completely fracturing it. Yeah agreed on the greatness of the BT. The reason it did not exit is it hit the biggest leg bone dead center and broke it right in half, then lodged in the off shoulder under the hide. It’s also s tad on the lighter side as far as loads go.
